☀️We embrace the challenges at every stage of constructing a photovoltaic park, but the most rewarding moment is by far at the end: When Parapet's technicians install the final photovoltaic panel, the machines have stopped their engines, and the plant is ready to generate clean energy 💡, our satisfaction peaks. The project in the pictures below 👇 was particularly gratifying due to the soil's difficulty. This photovoltaic plant is built on the grounds of a former thermal power plant, with drilling conducted through reinforced concrete foundations dating back to the '60s. A large team of structural engineers, technicians, installers, and high-performance machinery were needed to complete this project successfully. In the end, we witnessed the transformation of an old blast furnace site into a clean energy generation park. 🌞🔋 It may seem like just another photovoltaic power plant with systems anchored on a grassy surface, but there's more beneath the surface! 📣 We’re proud to share that the photovoltaic system is installed on one of Vienna’s water reservoirs – the largest water tank has a capacity of approximately 600,000 cubic meters. This unique project covered by the Parapet team required innovative solutions due to the critical drinking water storage infrastructure just 70 cm below ground level. Our team developed a special anchoring system to ensure the safety and stability of the PV installations without compromising the reservoir.
