#TechWeekInReview shows financing rounds at steady pace and emphasizes the power of corporate startup cooperation, allowing access to large clients database and possibilities to validate the business cases. ➡ Pago App secured 2.2 million euros in funding, which will be used to integrate its solution into banking platforms and for international expansion. The start-up offers a wide range of services, from bill payments to insurance purchases and mobile top-ups. Pago is already operating in Italy and Poland, and through integration with the George platform by BCR, it aims to expand into the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. The startup estimates recurring annual revenues of 2.4-2.5 million euros by the end of 2024, a 40% growth compared to 2023.Pago's growth strategy focuses on integrating its services into other apps, including BT Pay and George, with revenue sharing models in place with partners. Pago recently launched its app in Italy and has long-term plans for expansion, including a potential stock market listing in the future. ➡️QuickLegal received €368,000 in funding through European grants to further develop its product and prepare for scaling to other markets. Initially, QuickLegal started as a marketplace for personalized legal solutions but has since pivoted to developing an automated debt recovery solution.The solution automates the entire debt collection process, from payment notifications to court filings if necessary. QuickLegal's automated system helps companies manage overdue invoices, sending personalized reminders and escalating to legal action if needed. If cases become complex, companies can also collaborate online with specialized lawyers. TechAngels vision 🔭#10unicornsin10years 🦄was embraced by many from our tech community. The support and the „ready to roll the sleeves” attitude from partners allover the ecosystem were humbling. Marius Istrate, #TechAngels Chairman approaches, in the text below, the next stages of this process by suggesting, step by step, responses to the question „How can we fulfill this vision?”. First theme is about never walking alone and refers to working together with VC. In the article he explains the complementarity of business angels and VCs and makes a case for a strong cooperation. In brief, despite the difference in roles and strategies, both VCs and angel investors are looking for startup teams success. Their expertise and financial power can combine while accessing wider networks. Collaboration between business angels and VCs now happens earlier in a startup's lifecycle, allowing for continuous support from initial to later stages. Co-investing provides startups with a strong combination of resources and expertise, while investors share risks and jointly support the next generation of tech innovators.
