We are looking for our client, a respected IT & Consulting Company focused on IT, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Warehousing, and Reporting, to hire a skilled IT Finance & Risk DevOps – Application Administrator.


The team operates under Agile methodologies, drawing inspiration from a unique implementation adapted from Spotify's model. The role primarily involves managing financial applications in the portfolio, including third-party solutions and in-house developments, with plans to implement a Finance & Risk Data mart in the coming year.



What You Would Do & Responsibilities:


  • Configure and maintain production application infrastructure components.
  • Ensure system availability aligns with agreed SLAs.
  • Provide on-call support when necessary, particularly during major promotes.
  • Implement changes on production systems following change management procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and implement active monitoring, identifying and tracking relevant performance indicators.
  • Implement security patches and adhere to our client's security procedures.
  • Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, and Service management teams to identify and resolve production and test environment issues.
  • Understand and implement Business Continuity Planning (BCP) requirements, including maintaining DR infrastructure.
  • Maintain and regularly test backup plans.
  • Ensure high availability of applications and set up test environments with minimal risk for subsequent promotes to production.




Requirements:


Hard Skills:

  • Experience in a technical environment using Oracle Weblogic, JBoss EAP, Apache Web Server, Oracle SQL, bash scripting, Python.
  • Familiarity with RHEL/CentOS and Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (bash, Python, awk, sed).
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Zabbix.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and processes, including Ansible and Git.
  • Strong ability to manage complex projects.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good command of English.



Soft Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly switch contexts.
  • Encouragement of teamwork and willingness to take responsibility.
  • Autonomy in executing tasks and making decisions about implementations.
  • Perseverance in dealing with conflicts and setbacks to achieve acceptable solutions.


Nice to know:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure CI/CD pipelines and Cloud technology.
  • Experience with MySQL/MariaDB, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana is advantageous.
  • Professional certifications in relevant technologies are highly beneficial.
  • Experience using Agile methodology is a plus.
