Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced COO to lead the day-to-day operations of our group of companies. The COO will be tasked with establishing the operational foundations that will allow us to scale while maintaining the core of our current entrepreneurial culture (fast-paced, mission-driven, innovation-focused). This role will lead operational excellence within the company, and manage the leaders of each functional unit to align towards our goals.
About You
You’re a seasoned executive who’s led operations at a tech-enabled services firm (marketing or else) and helped them scale with clarity and efficiency.
You are a strategic and independent thinker with a proven ability to translate vision into operational reality.
You are an exceptional leader who manages, inspires, and motivates other leaders and teams to achieve peak performance.
You have a strong track record of managing complex operations, driving growth, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

Operational Excellence: Drive clarity, efficiency, productivity, and high performance across all departments and business units.
Strategic Growth: Develop and implement business strategies that align with the company's vision and goals, fostering sustainable growth and expansion.
Financial & Administrative Performance: Oversee financial planning and analysis, ensuring profitability and responsible resource management - as well as oversee the administrative function (Legal, Admin, etc).
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Client Satisfaction: Ensure foundational operations that create exceptional client service delivery, exceeding expectations and building long-term relationships.
Main Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Lead the daily operations of the company, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and high performance across all departments. Including, amongst others, overseeing the various operational departments and business units of the group, approval of expenses, recruitment, strategic direction, cost control and budget approvals, etc.
The main departments you’ll be leading are: Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, and Client Delivery units
The only departments that will report directly to the CEO are Sales & Business Development / Networking, Investor Relations, Media Business, and Special Projects.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure financial health and operational sustainability.
Performance Management: Establish performance metrics and monitor operational performance to drive continuous improvement and achieve business targets.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity and compliance with industry standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the CEO and other senior executives to align on strategic initiatives and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably within technology, communication, marketing, or media production industries.
Track record: Proven history of turning chaos into order and setting up and running the operations that allow a company to scale, ideally a similar environment, complexity, and size to ours.
Education: Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable.
Location: Based anywhere in Europe and willing to travel to Bucharest (mainly) for 2 weeks per month at least for the first 6 months of the role. After 6 months, 75%+ remote time is possible.
