The Serbian national airline operated 4,071 flights from the airports in Belgrade, Niš, and Kraljevo in October, an increase of 49 flights compared to the same month in 2023. In the first ten months of 2024, Air Serbia recorded over 3.8 million passengers on its flights, representing a growth of 7 percent compared to the same period last year. ➡️"October, our birthday month, was very special. At the beginning of it, we welcomed our 30-millionth passenger since we began operating under the name Air Serbia, and just a few days later, a new Airbus A330-200 aircraft for long-haul flights joined our fleet. Our strategy of expanding our fleet and network of destinations has proven successful. Thanks to this, and the trust that passengers show us every day, we are recording record results month after month. We will continue to expand our network in the upcoming period by introducing direct flights to Shanghai, Ibiza, Mykonos, and Sardinia. This officially launches the pilot cadet program jointly implemented by the Aviation Academy and Air Serbia, which aims to educate ten candidates during the 2024/2025 school year for the needs of the national airline of the Republic of Serbia. "Our company aims to create better conditions for young professionals and contribute to the development of Serbian aviation together with the Aviation Academy, one of the most important educational institutions in the field of aviation in Serbia. The pilot cadet program we have jointly launched allows us to potentially employ promising young pilots immediately upon graduation. We believe that this cadet program will enable us to secure a quality and highly qualified flight crew for the future. It will offer young pilots a unique opportunity to start working for their country's national airline right after finishing the Academy, and through top-notch education, training on state-of-the-art simulators, and continuous support from senior and more experienced colleagues, they will receive the best possible enhancement of their foundational pilot education. By training pilots through the cadet program, Air Serbia has returned to a proven effective model, which entails the institution guiding young individuals from their first steps in aviation to employment. History in the making 🌏 📷 Crew and passengers on today’s Tokyo - Belgrade charter flight JU9099, before taking off for Serbia. Today, Air Serbia is operating its first direct flight from the main airport of the capital of Japan to the capital of Serbia in the 97-year-old history of our national airline. The passengers we had the pleasure to host are Japanese businessmen coming to visit Serbia and the Balkans. The position offers a part-time schedule, aligned with our seasonal flight operations: - June to September: 3 weekly flights - Mid-January to Mid-March: 1 weekly flight - Remainder of the year: 2 weekly flights This is a limited-hours opportunity, ideal for candidates with prior supervisory experience and other commitments at O'Hare Airport. Fluency in Serbian is a plus, but not required. This position has a potential for growth as Air Serbia explores further possibilities of expanding in the USA. Additional information ⬇️ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: The chosen individual must be able to travel to New York for one-week long training with the JFK Station Manager. In addition to JFK, the chosen candidate must travel to Belgrade to complete all necessary training in the HUB.
