About us
PULSE Balkans is an association that supports entrepreneurship in the Western Balkans as a lever for a more inclusive, supportive and responsible region. It is a subsidiary of PULSE, an association established in 2006 whose mission is to support and promote entrepreneurship as a lever for inclusive and sustainable development. At PULSE, we believe that each of us can become a change-maker if given the opportunity. In the 18 countries where we are active, we foster access to entrepreneurship and funding through support programmes and awareness-raising actions. PULSE also operates 5 impact incubators in Africa and in Europe: Bidaya - Casablanca, Lab'ess - Tunis, Oribi - Cape Town, Le Comptoir - Montreuil, JógJëf - Ziguinchor in Senegal. Every year, more than 550 entrepreneurs receive tailor-made support from PULSE to start or sustain their businesses. PULSE is part of SOS GROUP international action.

🎉 Wrap-up of the RISE 5th anniversary in the Western Balkans! 🌍 Wrapping Up the RISE Alumni Tour! Over 6 incredible days in Paris and Berlin, 11 social entrepreneurs (RISErs Alumni) from the Western Balkans explored innovative models of social enterprise, exchanged ideas with their French and German peers, and gained fresh perspectives. 💡 Participants explored inspiring organizations like Emmaüs Défi, SMArtDE eG, and SuperCoop, gaining insights into innovative social enterprise models. 🌱 Workshops on intercultural learning and social entrepreneurship further enriched their experience, fostering collaboration and creative problem-solving. 💪 A huge thank you to all the participants! BOOST is launching a call for applications to support democratic, economic, social, and cultural growth across the region as it moves closer to EU integration! 💪 🔹 What’s the opportunity? Through the sub-granting scheme, BOOST is providing two rounds of grants for innovative, impactful projects. Six Western Balkan countries are eligible. 🔹 Who should apply? - Legal, non-profit Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working on relevant thematic pillars - Organizations registered in Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, or Serbia - Preference will be given to youth- and women-led CSOs! 🔹 How can you make an impact?
