Here for Impact’. 🤝To confirm their commitment to have impact on the communities around us, we partnered with Unicef. Throughout the Summit, the team participated in a wide range of team and individual challenges with one mission: collecting impact coins to donate ‘blue gifts’ to Unicef. 💙Collectively, the leadership team raised 8,120 euros to donate Unicef blue gifts – like baby cots, play kits and feminine care products - to people in need across the world. 📰 Today we presented our financial results for the third quarter of 2024. We show a steady progress on our transformation, realizing key strategic milestones, while continuing to deliver solid results. Our CEO Gustavo Calvo Paz said: “With the agreement to sell our Brazilian operations, Ontex's transformation is marking a major milestone, shifting our focus even more to retail brands and healthcare in the rapidly growing North American market and in the streamlined European market. Finalizing social negotiations to optimize our European manufacturing footprint has been another milestone to realize that. To support the communities hit by hurricane #Helene in North Carolina, the team of our local plant in Stokesdale donated 27,500 baby diapers earlier this month. 🌱 Sustainable innovation news from our plant in Italy! We are launching a circular economy pilot project, converting leftover cellulose fluff from diaper production into organic fertilizer. Managed by Omnisyst and local farm La Terra di Gaia ® earthworms play a crucial role in converting an annual 15 tons of cellulose powder into organic fertilizer. This initiative is just one part of our broader sustainability strategy to eliminate production waste by 2030. Yesterday, we reached an important milestone in reshaping our portfolio with a binding agreement to sell our Brazilian business to Softys. This will help us to focus on retail brands and healthcare in Europe and North America. The proceeds from the sale will further reduce our indebtedness, putting us in an even stronger position to execute our transformation.
