Unlocking opportunities between #WesternAustralia and #KingdomSaudiArabia at the #AussieExpo in #Riyadh It was an honour to be in #remarkable #Riyadh for the inaugural Aussie Expo Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted by the Trademark Group of Companies in association with the Australian Government in KSA. The largest country in the Arab region, KSA has a GDP of $1.1 trillion and population of 32 million coupled with many similarities in climate conditions to #WALikeNoOther; there are considerable opportunities to leverage similar goals arounds sustainable Mining, energy transition, decarbonisation; #Vision2030 and #DiversifyWA. Saudi Vision 2030 is a government program launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which aims to achieve the goal of increased diversification economically, socially and culturally. The upcoming World Expo 2030, FIFA World cup 2034, and a pipeline of 11 Mega projects exceeding US$1 trillion until 2030 - will stimulate accelerated growth opportunities for the economy. #Mining has been identified as the third economic pillar for KSA and WA has some incredible expertise to support this growth story. As Saudi Arabia continues to make strides in emerging technologies there is great potential for #WA collaboration in innovation. It was an honour hosting His Excellency Khalid Almudaifer @Sulaiman almouza @Athri M Othri at our booth and discussing their admiration of WA. It was also great to have a spotlight on WA at the conference to showcase #WALikeNoOther and meeting WA companies DELTA Steel Structures Pvt. Ltd. IGO Ltd and Northern Minerals. The warmth and hospitality shown by stakeholders in Riyadh was second to none; and it was a pleasure to see Australian talent in KSA contributing to the incredible growth story of this booming economy. My heartfelt gratitude to the Sam Jamsheedi and Daniel J, the Jamsheedi brothers and the Trademark team for their unwavering focus on bringing the tale of these two trillion dollar economies and showcasing the collaborative potential. I thank His Excellency Ambassador Mark Donovan, Kim Ralston, Sammi Hosseini, Todd Miller and the Austrade team for their partnership. In Saudi Arabia, a handshake goes a long way. Two years ago, I had the privilege of shaking hands with His Excellency بندر إبراهيم الخريف Bandar Alkhorayef His Excellency Khalid Almudaifer, and His Excellency Suliman Almazroua —an act that has since paved the way for remarkable progress. Over the past two years, we have successfully introduced more than 300 Australian companies to explore the opportunities of Vision 2030. But this October marked a new era in the Australia-Saudi trade relationship. For the first time, we proudly hosted an Australian exhibition in the heart of Riyadh, showcasing Australian talent and expertise. The inaugural Aussie Expo, under the patronage of His Excellency Bandar AlKhorayef, brought together over 75 Australians and attracted more than 1,000 attendees over two days. This landmark event not only strengthened business ties but also bolstered government-to-government relations. My deepest gratitude goes to the Australian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Mark Donovan; Austrade’s Trade and Investment Commissioner,Todd Miller and the Australian Trade and Investment team, especially Abd Hakmi, Faisal Abdulhadi, Mohamed Ismail and Mohsen El-Bahaie. Australian Agricultural Counsellor Sammi Hosseini. Special thanks to the Trade and Investment Commissioner of Invest and Trade Western Australia Nashid Chowdhury, and the Director of the Gulf, Aziz Saba,MBA. A special thanks to our strategic partner, the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), led by His Excellency Suliman AlMazroa, as well as His Excellency Khalid Al-Mudaifer for his support. Thanks also to all stakeholders, sponsors, the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and key partners, including His Excellency Mishare Ben Naheet, Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Australia and His Excellency Atif AlOthri, Saudi Commercial Attaché to Australia & New Zealand. This is just the beginning. I am excited to see the long-term impact of this historic event and the continued growth of the two-way trade relationship as we work toward Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

From Outback to Oasis - Bridging Innovation As the world looks toward Saudi Arabia’s remarkable transformation under Vision 2030, the healthcare sector stands at the forefront of change. It was an absolute pleasure to explore the synergy between Australia and Saudi Arabia at the the first Aussie Expo organized by Trademark Group of Companies in association with Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in #Riyadh, Saudi Arabia., where pioneers like Dr Angie Lang of Centaur Software Development Co. and White Sands shared insights into the future of the tech ecosystem and healthcare innovation. - Saudi Arabia’s ICT market is valued at over $45 billion as of 2024, making it one of the largest in the Middle East. - The Kingdom is projected to invest $25 billion in digital transformation by 2025, with a focus on AI, data analytics, and cybersecurity. A tale of two trillion dollar economies. In 2023, two-way goods and services trade totalled $2.7 billion between Australia & Saudi Arabia (https://lnkd.in/gAMUZij9.). Saudi Vision 2030 is a government program launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which aims to achieve the goal of increased diversification economically, socially and culturally. The upcoming World Expo 2030 and the FIFA World cup 2034 will present many growth opportunities for the economy. It was an honor to attend the first Aussie Expo organized by Trademark Group of Companies in association with Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A sneak peak into the giga projects in the country was engaging & fascinating. As Saudi Arabia continues to make strides in emerging technologies and innovation, this event signals the beginning of promising partnerships in the technology space. The country’s Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) published research in 2023 predicting their space industry would grow to $2.2 billion by 2030, compared with $400 million in 2022. The country signed the Artemis accords in 2022. Thanks to Abdulelah Habib, PhD for moderating the fireside chat session on "Innovation for the Future" and explaining the work done by SDAIA | سدايا (Saudi Data & AI Authority). Looking forward to seeing the incredible opportunities that unfold.
