The DCO team was pleased to host representatives from Club Degli Investitori at DCO headquarters today. As one of the world’s leading business investor networks, Club Degli Investitori includes over 300 entrepreneurs and executives dedicated to investing in high-potential startups and scale-ups. Our discussions focused on the synergies between the DCO’s mission to foster digital prosperity and Club Degli Investitori’s strength in scaling innovative startups. During the visit, we shared insights into DCO’s key initiatives, including Cross-Border Market Expansion, Deal Zones, the Digital Economy Navigator, Advocacy for Ease of Doing Business, and Scaling Sustainable Innovations where we highlighted specific opportunities within AI, startup support, cross-border digital innovation, and efforts to create an enabling environment for digital businesses, and explored ways to strengthen the startup ecosystem and accelerate digital innovation across our Member States. We look forward to advancing these cooperation opportunities together for meaningful growth in the digital economy to enable #DigitalProsperity4All

The DCO team, led by Hajar El Haddaoui, Senior Advisor to the DCO Secretary-General, with the DCO Cabinet team, welcomed the esteemed delegation from the People’s Republic of China led by H.E. A significant milestone for #DCO_WE_Elevate We recently gathered representatives from the Republic of Rwanda, the Republic of The Gambia, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria for a dynamic session centered on peer learning and knowledge exchange. Together, we explored the e-commerce landscape, regulatory frameworks, and strategies for localizing program implementation. Key outcomes of our discussions included addressing language barriers to enhance accessibility, launching tailored training programs to boost digital skills, and sharing best practices in marketing and partnership engagement. By empowering women-led businesses, we are fostering greater digital inclusion across our Member States. Targeting over 300 businesses, this initiative exemplifies the strength of cross-country collaboration in advancing gender inclusion and driving digital transformation. #DCO_WE_Elevate #DigitalProsperity4All

As we conclude the Tax Treaty Negotiation Training with our esteemed partner, the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD), we reflect on a journey that has equipped participants with essential skills for navigating international tax complexities. Engaging discussions and practical exercises sparked new ideas and strengthened relationships among professionals. This training workshop was indeed a transformative experience that deepened our understanding of negotiation strategies.
