Progress in any field is achieved through ambition, commitment, and hard work. This sentiment is reflected in the recent announcement of winners for Licensing Exploration Round 6 by the Ministry of #Industry_and_Mineral_Resources, which reinforces my earlier recipe for progress with three key lessons. First, I have come to the conclusion that collaboration is a continuum of success. At the #FMF, we saw firsthand the power of collaboration through our Business Matchmaking initiative, where local and international mining companies formed consortiums. These partnerships are already yielding results, and I’m proud to share that some of the consortiums formed at the #FMF24 emerged as winners in the recent Licensing Exploration Round 6. Second, these consortiums reinforce #FutureMineralsForum’s status as a global marketplace for fostering collaboration and investment in the mineral sector. Third, interest in #SaudiArabia’s mineral potential has reached unprecedented levels, with the Ministry receiving a record 44 license applications in the latest round. New players in the industry have successfully secured licenses across six (6) sites, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to welcoming new investors. I am delighted to share some insights from my participation at the two-day Multilateral Industrial Policy Forum (#MIPF2024) in Riyadh, #SaudiArabia. The forum organized by #UNIDO in partnership with the Ministry of #Industry_and_Mineral_Resources (MIM) presented an opportunity to highlight Saudi Arabia’s role in decarbonization and the critical roles of minerals in achieving global decarbonization goals.
