Our first summer programme in collaboration with Stanford University focused on the fundamentals of design, allowing students to explore the importance of empathy in the design process, and cultivate a spirit of creativity and teamwork utilising AI alongside other innovative solutions. Director General Dr Steffen Sommer attended the Davos Baukultur Alliance Annual Meeting at the World Economic Forum headquarters in Geneva, where he took part in the panel discussion entitled ‘Investing in Place: Social Value in Regeneration’, debating the need to build greater social value into regeneration projects. Integrating nature back into the built environment is vital to both the well-being of the planet and all those that inhabit it. Symbiosis with nature leads to improved, interconnected mental and physical health. Creating this connection requires an understanding and a respect for the natural world – which is where education comes in. Fostering experiences in and with nature from early childhood teaches students about their roles in contributing and stewarding their environment. It guides their path to becoming the next generation of socially and environmentally conscious leaders, with visions of more projects and initiatives like Green Riyadh and the Saudi Green Initiative in the future. #MiskSchools 📸 World Economic Forum/Marc Bader

استضافت #مدارس_مسك منتدى الحماية للمرة الثالثة على التوالي والذي يناقش موضوعات الحماية في المدارس ويسعى لتحقيق أفضل الممارسات والاستمرار في توفير بيئة تعليمية يسودها الأمان والثقة والتي تُعد أولوية قصوى في مدارسنا. استعرض المنتدى رحلة مدارس مسك في الحماية في جلسة حوارية حضرها عدة ضيوف من موظفي المدارس الذين يعملون بشكل وثيق مع الطلبة، كما تلتها جلسة حوارية ثانية مع تحالف الحماية الذي طرح أفضل الممارسات في المجال، وتضمنت الجلسات آراءًا شاملة للضيوف الذين حضروا من أماكن متعددة حول العالم. واختتم المنتدى جدول أعماله بتطبيق عملي في ورشة عمل شارك فيها الحضور في تصميم خطة لتطوير الحماية للسنة الأكاديمية القادمة. We hosted the Safeguarding Forum at #MiskSchools for the third time in a row, discussing best practices in safeguarding within schools. Our top priority remains providing a safe and trustworthy educational environment. The event featured a panel discussion reviewing Misk Schools' safeguarding journey, attended by school staff who work closely with students. Another panel with The Safeguarding Alliance highlighted best practices in the field. The sessions included comprehensive views from guests who attended from various countries around the world. The forum concluded its agenda with a workshop where attendees designed a safeguarding plan for the upcoming academic year, allowing them to apply shared knowledge and experiences in a practical manner.

أقامت #مدارس_مسك هذا الأسبوع مؤتمر"نحو تعلم عالي الأداء في دروس اللغة العربية"؛ وذلك سعيًا للارتقاء بالممارسات التعليمية في مجال اللغة العربية. وتضمن المؤتمر ورشتي عمل ناقشت أهم الاستراتيجيات التعليمية لجميع مراحل التعليم العام، بالإضافة إلى محاضرة ماتعة قدمتها أ.د. هنادا طه استعرضت فيها مستجدات المجال وموضوع علم القراءة وغيرها من المواضيع المثرية التي حضرها عدد من معلمي ومعلمات اللغة العربية من جميع المدارس العالمية في المملكة. #MiskSchools is pleased to host the'Towards High Performance in Arabic Language Lessons' conference as part of its efforts to enhance best practices in teaching Arabic language. The conference included two workshops that discussed key teaching strategies for the primary, middle and high school students, in addition to an interesting lecture presented by Professor Hanada Taha-Thomure. The lecture reviewed the latest developments in the field, the Reading Science, and other enriching topics, which were attended by a number of Arabic language teachers, both male and female, from all international schools in the Kingdom.
