In 2021, SEK Educational Group was invited to take part in the prestigious “International School’s Attraction Program” of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SEK International School Riyadh will be opened in September 2021 in Riyadh. SEK-Riyadh is an IB World School in a candidacy status which will be offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP). SEK-Riyadh is a co-educational until grade 6, multilingual international school serving the local and expatriate community at its advanced learning campus located in the modern Al Rabieh district of Riyadh. English is the language of instruction, and Arabic and Spanish are taught from Preschool 3. SEK-Riyadh will be proud itself in building a learning community where teachers are exposed to international professional development opportunities and parents are actively involved in the school life. Questioning is at the heart of SEK’s pedagogy, with students making connections between their academic studies and real world experiences. SEK-Riyadh joins an educational institution with 130 years of tradition in educational innovation, and over 35 years of experience delivering IB Programmes. More than 6,000 students from more than 60 countries attend our 9 SEK International schools in Spain, France, Ireland and Qatar, and Camilo José Cela University in Madrid, as day or boarding students.
