On #InternationalDayEradicationofPoverty, we celebrate the incredible potential of grassroots innovation to transform lives and uplift communities. For years, the #Prince_Talal_International_Prize has recognized outstanding projects that create lasting, positive change. In 2018, the Prize focused on "No Poverty", aligning with #SDG1. That year, it spotlighted groundbreaking initiatives that impacted over 19,765 individuals in Afghanistan, Kenya, Rwanda, and Egypt: - In Afghanistan, efforts in Sarepul Province reduced poverty and gender inequality by improving household income. - In Kenya, communities gained from irrigation farming, land acquisition, and self-employment. - In Rwanda, over 8,000 jobs were created, boosting local economies. - In Egypt, least fortunate women and vocational trainers received vital support for brighter futures. These efforts reflect our unwavering commitment to a world where every person has the chance to thrive. Together, we can #EndPoverty and create a better future for all. Let’s continue this vital work. What steps will you take today to make a difference?

Inspired by the strength and determination of rural women! We’re sharing a video from Helen Keller Intl showcasing an agriculture project they implemented in Sierra Leone with funding from The Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND). Helen Keller International, previous winners of 2008 #Prince_Talal_International_Prize, implemented a project through which a group of remarkable women have transformed lives in their village by cultivating nutrition-rich crops. Their resilience is nothing short of heroic. #InternationalDayofRuralWomen.

#WinnersFlashback Today on #teachersday, we celebrate the inspiring work of our Second Category Winner of the #Prince_Talal_International_Prize 2017 in Nepal. Their commitment to #SDG4: Quality Education is truly commendable. This project enhances education in rural Nepal by improving both hard and soft infrastructure. It builds and renovates school facilities, equips classrooms, and provides sanitation and playgrounds. On the soft side, it focuses on training and recruiting teachers, developing relevant curricula, and offering financial support through scholarships and microfinance programs. Together, we’re making meaningful strides toward a world where every child has access to lifelong learning and opportunities for growth! Let's honor the dedication of teachers everywhere who are shaping the future. 📚❤️ #WorldTeachersDay

#WinnersFlashback Watch this inspiring video by one of our beneficiaries of Saha Global showcasing how women in villages of Northern Ghana are transforming their communities. They are treating dugout water, starting clean water businesses, and distributing Safe Storage Containers (SSCs). For instance, 345 residents benefited from #Prince_Talal_International_Prize, gaining access to free water during the pandemic. Now, women entrepreneurs receive a steady stipend, and the use of clean water has surged. Together, we can make a difference!
