👶🏼 Our baby is getting a workout! 🏋🏼♂️ Our new JuggerBot PE-44 pellet-fed #additivemanufacturing (#PFAM) printer, that is. After success with several small 3D printed parts, we recently stretched its legs with the printing of two back-to-back 11-hour prints to create sleek transit benches. These were made with our new LNP™ THERMOCOMP™ AM DC0041XA51 material. This carbon fiber-reinforced (up to 20%) PC grade addresses the needs of the rail market and complies with EN45545 R1 HL3 and R27 HL2 for rail interiors. 🚅 The benches were on display in JuggerBot’s booth at RAPID + TCT 2024, where the company also printed parts in real time using both the LNP THERMOCOMP AM DC0041XA51 material and AM AF004XXAR1 compound, a glass fiber-reinforced ABS material. ⭐ Interested in our other materials that are well suited for the rail industry? We will be exhibiting at InnoTrans 2024, September 24-27 in Berlin. Plan to stop by. #SABIC #plastics #ChemistryThatMatters #SABICSpecialties #JuggerBot #advancedmanufacturing #mobility

🥂 We’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of the first 3D-printed car. 🚗 Remember the Strati? A decade ago, it was printed live at IMTS 2014. (See the comments for the link) ⭐At this year’s show, Strati will make an appearance. The electric car was printed using our LNP™ THERMOCOMP™ material on a Cincinnati BAAM machine. Since then, we’ve used this printer at our Polymer Processing Development Center to develop pellet-fed #additivemanufacturing (#PFAM) materials. Our PFAM portfolio now has 15 grades! Printing with pellets? Contact #SABIC for help finding the right material.
