In celebration of International Podcast Day Acast has released a new global report on the trends of podcast listeners worldwide. The report explores listener habits across 13 countries, which are divided into emerging and established markets. Some of the key findings reveal: -Podcast ads drive global shopping: More than half of daily listeners globally have made a purchase after hearing a podcast ad -Podcasts go beyond audio: More than 70% of podcast listeners globally follow a host on social media -Video in podcasting is on the rise globally: 76.2% of daily podcast listeners in emerging markets and 74.4% of daily podcast listeners in established markets have watched a video podcast. -Podcast fans have an appetite for live events: Nearly two-thirds of listeners in emerging markets say they would attend a live podcast event. In established markets, 30% of daily listeners have already attended a live event. -The medium is here to stay: More than 95% of podcast listeners expect to spend the same amount of time or more listening to podcasts in the next six months Be sure to check out the full study at the link below. https://lnkd.in/ejwJBjVt
