Last week we hosted a webinar about the new EU AI Act 🤖, where Carl-Johan Hamilton (Ants Tech Recruiters ), Maria Mouzaki (Deel) and Malin Holmberg (AlexisHR/Simployer) discussed how companies can approach compliance and the potential pitfalls they should avoid when using AI. The focus was particularly on the importance of educating and training staff to ensure that key teams, such as HR and compliance, understand the regulatory requirements. Key takeaways: ⚖️ Balance in compliance: Avoid overcomplicating your efforts but put together a strategy and policy to comply with the legislation. 📚 Training and education: Training and education of staff to ensure an understanding of regulations is crucial. 🤔 Future challenges and concerns: There was concern that the AI Act could stifle innovation and competitiveness, particularly within the EU.
