For us at BraunAbility, creating access to independent living through mobility solutions and vehicle adaptations can’t start early enough.   We believe that through long-term support, children can get the chance to grow into adults who move independently. Because when it comes to empowering individuals to live on their terms, accessible means of transportation are crucial. Today, we want to highlight the groundbreaking work of one of our oldest partners, Pimas, from France.   They have introduced SAM, a driving assistance solution that enhances safety and independence for individuals with hearing impairments. SAM includes an in-car communication system that enables drivers to be aware of their surroundings. The launch follows a change in French regulations allowing people with severe deafness to work as professional drivers. SAM aims to transform the lives of those who were previously excluded from driving independently and safely.   Pascal Masapollo, Chairman at Pimas, explains: “Many stakeholders approached Pimas, and together with end users, we designed and developed an solution, incorporating innovative technologies such as the Emergency Vehicle Detection AI from Cerence Inc."   He continues:   "During the last decades, we have made significant progress when it comes to adapting vehicles for people with physical disabilities, but we are in the very early stages concerning cognitive disabilities or deafness. We aim to offer a safer and more enjoyable driving experience and contribute to the inclusion of people with severe and profound deafness through a more accessible driving licence, especially in the transport sector.”   According to Pascal Masapollo, SAM has already been installed on several trucks from AFTRAL, France's largest driving school for transport and logistic drivers, with more than 300,000 trainees and 11,000 apprentices per year, successfully handing out driving licences to drivers with hearing impairments.   For him and his colleagues, the entire project was a learning process: “When you approach new users, you have to be humble, listen, and start from their needs. Our Area Sales Manager, Mido El Zein, has been attending the AccessAbilities Expo in Dubai this week. Apart from visiting several of our customers, he is providing Manafeth Mobility Solutions with product and sales training, focusing on the needs of product users. Child solutions will also be a significant topic during the training. Mido shared his impressions of the event: “The fair was very interesting and educational. It highlighted the impact and footprint our business partners at Manafeth have on the region and how they help change lives by embracing people in need of independent mobility. They truly make a difference in inclusiveness and accessibility in the UAE. Even neighboring countries and their administrations now recognise the great work being done." We are proud to have such a significant and strong partner in the Middle East, granting independent mobility and accessibility to passengers and drivers there. Enchanté de te rencontrer, Hervé!   Hervé MUGISHA, our new French-speaking Area Sales Manager, is clearly a team player. Having moved from Brittany to the Swedish West Coast only two years ago, he has already joined a local football club and is training at a traditional local boxing gym in Gothenburg. As an open-minded and curious person, the multilingual Hervé is currently all about mastering the Swedish language. Whether you communicate in Spanish, Portuguese, French, or English, he is ready to provide professional service with a smile.   Over the past few weeks, his colleague Ola Winsnes has been introducing Hervé to our customers based in France. Before joining BraunAbility Europe, he worked in the packaging sector of the international food industry, for ETPACK SPRINTER SAS, gaining experience in both B2B and end-user customer relations. "I was fortunate to be part of the packaging branch because it gave me the opportunity to experience every aspect of the food industry.", he explains.   We sat down with our new colleague for a chat about his initial experiences at our company.   Hervé, did you expect to end up in this part of the automotive industry? "(Laughing) No, to be honest, I didn't. But the interview I had here was really interesting. The people I met during the recruiting process, like Ola, Peter Wahlsten, and Mido El Zein, were a big factor in my decision to join the company."   So, how was your first business traveling trip together with Ola? "It was really nice and easy. In the past, I was a sales person who would go to a customer and explain our company. Now it's the opposite. I'm the person and brand that everyone knows. People are familiar with our products and sometimes buy them every day."   What experiences and impressions have you gained during these first meetings and travels? "My first impression of this industry is that even competitors work together and evolve. It's great to see this kind of competition because eventually everyone wants to help the end user. It's a healthy competition, and it's really nice to see."   #PeopleofBraunAbility

🤠 Yeehaw! A couple of weeks ago, we traded our work attire for cowboy hats and boots to enjoy an evening inspired by the wild west.    Our annual summer get-together was filled with competitive games, good food, laughter, and camaraderie. At BraunAbility, we believe in taking the time to celebrate success. This gathering was a great opportunity for us to connect and enjoy ourselves beyond the workplace.
