🌍 Strengthening Ties: Normandy Meets Norway 🇫🇷 🇳🇴 On Tuesday & Wednesday Hervé Morin, President of the Région Normandie, led a delegation of companies to Norway, marking a significant step in fortifying the bonds between Normandy and Norway. The visit featured a reception at the Ambassade de France en Norvège, providing a prime networking opportunity. Additionally, a breakfast roundtable saw the participation of 8 Norwegian companies, where discussions centred on France’s attractiveness and Normandy’s strategic advantages. With its prime location in northern France, Normandy boasts a dynamic environment with welcoming and innovative ecosystems, nurturing the talents of tomorrow. Welcome to our annual French-Swedish Research Day: Journée franco-suédoise de la recherche! 🎓 This year’s event will be held at Uppsala University on October 7th and 8th, in collaboration with the French Embassy in Sweden (Ambassade de France en Suède) and the University of Uppsala. 🔋 The 2024 French-Swedish Research Day’s theme is batteries: the aim of the event is to compare French and Swedish views about batteries, particularly in terms of research, training, innovation, industry and commercial applications, in order to encourage bilateral cooperation in this field. Our objectives: ✔ Implement the French-Swedish strategic innovation partnership for sustainable, digital and resilient societies, which was renewed on 30 January 2024, during the State visit of the President of the French Republic to Sweden; ✔ Take stock of existing cooperation in the field of batteries with a view to strengthening it; ✔ Promote and initiate specific collaborations between France and Sweden in the field of batteries to contribute to European excellence and sovereignty in this area at several levels. 🇩🇰 Normandy Delegation Visits Denmark   Last week, a delegation from Normandy led by Hervé Morin, President of the Région Normandie, was in Denmark. This visit was a step in gearing up for the millennium celebrations of William the Conqueror’s birth in 2027.   Beyond the rich cultural exchanges, the visit also had a significant economic dimension, particularly on the second day, which focused on energy.   This visit highlights the robust and growing relationship between France and Denmark. With 50 investment decisions in France in 2023, Denmark leads Nordic investments for the 3rd consecutive year. For the 1st time, Denmark is also the leader in terms of jobs generated by these investments, 988 jobs created or maintained.   Major Danish companies #ChooseFrance to expand their activities abroad, benefiting from a business-friendly environment.
