Cemvision is a proud partner to Womengineer and we support their mission to close the gender gap in engineering by empowering women to pursue engineering degrees and careers. Their podcast Womengineer Radio aims to inspire and spark curiosity about being women in engineering. In their latest episode (in Swedish) our own star Helena Göranson gives a great intro to Cemvision, our groundbreaking tech and how we are taking on the global concrete challenge. Thanks for having us!

🚀 We are happy to welcome Nordic residential developer JM as a strategic partner and investor in Cemvision. Their ambitious climate goals, and control over the entire value chain make them a perfect partner on our journey. We look forward to shaping the future of residential construction together. Cemvision CEO, Oscar Hållén, states: “We are proud to welcome JM as both an investor and a long-term partner in Cemvision. Their ambitious climate goals align with ours. To truly change the construction industry’s climate footprint, collaboration across the entire value chain is required. JM’s commitment to driving the transition makes them a key partner in scaling up and implementing sustainable materials.”

This year’s Futurebuild is all about Impact, highlighting materials, innovations, and products that are pivotal in driving the creation of net-zero buildings. Our friends at The Concrete Centre are showcasing samples of our near-zero CO₂ emissions cement at their stand (D30). The samples are taken from our most recent project in the UK for STOREX Self Storage together with Aztec Construction, Atelier Ten, Will Rudd, Sandberg and Threesixty Architecture Ltd and Capital Concrete Ltd. If you’re attending the event at Excel London, don’t miss the opportunity to see the future of cement.

🚀 The EU’s Clean Industrial Deal – a turning point for cement 🌍 The European Commission’s Clean Industrial Deal marks a major shift for the cement industry. With a strong focus on green procurement, circularity, and industrial electrification, the EU is making it clear: the future of construction must be low-carbon. At Cemvision, we welcome this transformation. Our next-generation cement, produced with industrial byproducts and electrified processes, has the potential to lower CO₂ emissions by up to 95 percent compared to traditional Portland cement. This is exactly the kind of innovation the #CleanIndustrialDeal is designed to accelerate. By aligning industry incentives with sustainability, implementing policies that support circular materials, improving access to clean energy, and enabling large-scale funding for decarbonization, we can reshape the way we build - without compromising performance. And that is what Cemvision is all about.

Our green cement is now being applied in the UK through our new partnership with globally leading real estate manager EQT Exeter and its self-storage arm STOREX Self Storage. This marks the start of our strategic expansion into the UK, a market that consumes more than 15 million tonnes of cement annually. Testing of the applied product at the Sandberg concrete laboratory demonstrated exceptional performance, including 28-day compressive strength reaching the C50/60 classification. These results establish Cemvision as a 'market-beating' solution under the UK 2024 LCCG Benchmark. Jack. Sindhu PGDip MICT, Technical Director for Capital Concrete Ltd, says: "The Cemvision product stands out. It is easy to batch, works seamlessly with traditional aggregates and admixtures, and consistently achieves the right consistency and specified characteristic strength. We’re pleased to have found it.” The full-scale application at the STOREX site is a collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, including Capital Concrete, Aztec Construction, ROK Planning, Threesixty Architecture Ltd, Will Rudd and Atelier Ten. 🔗 Link to press release: https://lnkd.in/dAPJ3aGx

Concrete has shaped our most iconic architectural wonders – from the Pantheon to the Guggenheim to the Sydney Opera House. But it comes at a cost: 8% of global CO2 emissions stem from cement production. At Cemvision, we believe it’s time for a change. In collaboration with Canadian concrete artist David Umemoto, we’ve created a one-of-a-kind sculpture made with our ultra-low carbon cement. The sculpture represents the building blocks (ping The Climate Brick) of a sustainable future , turning industrial waste into beauty and purpose. This piece is more than just art – it’s a bold statement of what’s possible. We’re thrilled to be featured in the ARCHITECT Magazine. Read more about the project here: https://lnkd.in/dq2qBfQf And catch the installation at Norrsken House in Stockholm, the leading hub for impact entrepreneurs in the Nordics.

This year, Cemvision’s Christmas greeting comes as an electrified 🎁 to the entire industry: Last couple of years one our key focuses has been to develop and push our electrification innovations into production, and we're excited to share that we've completed electrification of the cement production in rotary kiln, using a combination of hydrogen, plasma, and resistive heating. This innovation enables fully fossil-free, high-performance cement at scale, more than halving energy consumption and offering a practical, cost-efficient pathway for decarbonizing the cement industry. 🔗 Thank you to H2 View for picking up the story, which can be read here: https://lnkd.in/d6e-72qh This achievement marks a turning point for an industry responsible for 8% of global CO₂ emissions and represents Cemvision’s commitment to creating truly sustainable building materials. Some key takeaways: ⚡ First fully electrified cement production in an industrial rotary kiln. ⚡ More than 50% lower energy consumption compared to Portland cement production ⚡ A versatile combination of hydrogen, plasma, and resistive heating, balancing energy use and enhancing cost-efficiency. ⚡ No need for costly carbon capture – Cemvision’s approach is fossil-free from the start. Our CEO, Oscar Hållén, summarizes it best: “With a 100% electrically made clinker, we show that industry-leading performance is possible with a minimal carbon footprint. This marks a fundamental shift toward truly sustainable building materials.” Merry Christmas from the whole Cemvision team: Claes Kollberg, PAUL SANDBERG, Oscar Hållén, Max Larsson von Reybekiel, Petter Tronstad, Nicolas BEC, Hedvig Axberg, Mats Åhlin, Ulrik Henriksson, Linnea Palmertz, Fredrik Geijer, Pedro Cardoso, Sara Brodin, Anna Lindholm, Arvid Engman, jesper pettersson, Helena Göranson, Emanuel Onoszko, Mikołaj Ostrowski, Fred Isaksson
