🌍 Exciting updates from Devcco as we reflect on our active participation in the recent Asia Urban Energy Assembly, hosted by the Asia Pacific Urban Energy Association (APUEA) during the ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week! 🔹 Day 1: Financing Energy in the Asia Region Our team, led by key figures in the energy sector, engaged in crucial discussions on financing strategies that are vital for accelerating sustainable energy projects throughout Asia. The conversations emphasized the need for robust financing mechanisms to support the region's rapidly expanding energy requirements. 🔹 Day 2: European District Energy Experience Devcco proudly co-led a workshop with Euroheat & Power on the best practices in European District Cooling. Our very own Eric Lindström, along with other experts such as Glyn Addicott, Markus Hons, Neil Parry, and Sebastien Walker, brought invaluable insights into the session, showcasing how collaboration and expertise can lead to significant advancements in district energy systems. 💡 Key Takeaways: The workshop highlighted the essential role of sustainable cooling systems in the face of rising urban temperatures and increasing urbanization. The International Energy Agency (IEA) has documented the urgency of this matter, especially considering the climatic extremes places like India face, where last summer’s record temperatures underscored the critical demand for efficient cooling solutions. 🌐 Discussions extended beyond traditional building-focused approaches, emphasizing the need for holistic district energy solutions that utilize waste heat/cold and renewable sources more effectively across urban landscapes.
