🌟 Welcome Haorui to the Elastisys team! 🌟 We’re excited to introduce you all to our newest team member, Haorui Peng, who is joining us as Cloud Native Engineer. To give you a glimpse into her world, we've asked her a few questions. Check it out below!👇 💯 What's been the highlight of your onboarding process? My onboarding experience has been a highlight every day. The team has been incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made settling in much easier. I found the onboarding sessions during the first week especially helpful in quickly familiarizing myself with the company’s policies and culture. Also, a small win – I passed the IT security test with a perfect score :) 🎿 What's a skill you've always wanted to learn? Skiing, both downhill and cross-country. Even though I’ve been living in Sweden for over 6 years, I haven’t had the chance to properly develop my skiing skills. I find downhill skiing exciting but a bit intimidating at times. Cross-country skiing has given me a magical experience, but it’s also very physically demanding. I hope that with practice, I can master the techniques and truly enjoy the experience. ☀️ What's your favorite type of outdoor activity? I love trying new things, so my favorite outdoor activities tend to change when I discover something new and exciting. Lately, my favorite is stand-up paddling (but only in the summer, of course!). I really enjoy paddling on a quiet lake, and sometimes, I just stop in the middle, lie on the board, and enjoy a sunbath. It’s one of the most relaxing things for me. 👋 Allow us to introduce Mattias Abrahamsson, our amazing Head of Professional Services and Self-Managed Team at Elastisys. 🌟 Mattias holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Umeå University and has experience as a project manager in both Stockholm, Madrid, Uppsala, and Umeå. He joined the Elastisys team in November 2021 and has seen the company grow from 30 to 50+ colleagues during these years. Let's get to know him a little better. 👇 🎸 Tell us a fun fact about yourself! I was part of the music scene in Umeå back in the 90's, playing hardcore punk. A scene with high morals and ethics that wanted to change the world. Not sure we did that, but perhaps to some extent. I have since met people around the world who have been moved by the music we created and the lyrics I wrote. People who said the music and the message changed their lives. It's an amazing feeling to know that you have touched people's minds and lives. Music and being creative are still important parts of my life. 🧑💻 What are you currently working on? I manage two phenomenal engineering teams here at Elastisys and it's my job to make sure they can do their job efficiently and aligned with Elastisys goals. It's a privilege and an honor to work with my team members and help them grow as engineers and colleagues.   💙 What is the best thing about working at Elastisys? My colleagues are brilliant at what they do, and I get the opportunity to learn from them every day. Also, the company ethics align very well with mine – we want to do good for society with the Cloud Native tools that we are experts on.
