I had the privilege of attending LCP Delta’s New Energy Summit with the Eliq team and there were some valuable insights on the future of energy. Really enjoyed being part of a great panel discussion with Dina Darshini, Jakob Kammerer, Dr. Cezara Missing and Jack Fielder Here are my three key takeaways; 🤝 Trust is Essential for Home Energy Management (HEMs) For HEMs to be effective, trust between providers and customers is critical. Building confidence in how energy is managed in the home will pave the way for higher adoption and long-term success. This is an interesting dynamic for different actors in the home, be that an energy retailer or a manufacturer for example 😀 Simplicity is Key in Customer Experience We must focus on reducing the cognitive load for customers. Simplicity in design, communication, and the user experience is crucial in ensuring that the energy transition feels effortless and intuitive. All the hard work needs to be done under the surface, but maybe there is a place for some designed friction in process? ⚡️The Energy Transition is Underway, But the Pace is Uncertain The transition to cleaner energy is no longer a question of if but when. However, the speed at which this happens remains uncertain. Flexibility and adaptability will be vital as we navigate this evolving landscape.
