We offer fresh insights into how it will reshape our interactions, spanning from shopping and socializing to artistic expression. 🥽 The study, based on in-depth interviews and online surveys, highlights the challenges and opportunities in the evolving XR landscape with current and future XR users. Here are a few key takeaways from the report: 🔹 The number of consumers combining smartphones and augmented reality (AR) devices is set to double in the next five years. 🔹 Developments in augmented reality (AR) technology will lead to a more diverse range of AR expereinces, placing greater demands on 5G networks. 🔹 Consumers are eager to take AR devices outside of home and are willing to pay a premium of 20 percent for the portability. On October 15, we were honored to have over 150 UScellular associates join us at their Chicago headquarters for a day filled with insightful educational sessions and interactive demos. Our first educational session was "Shaping the Future with AI/ML," led by Cristina Chaccour, Ayo Damola, and Greg Agami. They discussed AI and machine learning's transformative role in telecom and customer experience. The second session, "5G Consumer Trends and Business Growth," featured a fireside chat with Peter Linder and Koustuv Ghoshal, moderated by Kim Kerr, focusing on global 5G growth opportunities and the utilities sector. UScellular associates also experienced 13 demo stations that showcased some of the capabilities of the next wave of 5G. Our Q3 report has been released this morning, and it marks a period of laser focus on executing our strategic plan and showcases progress in various areas. Here are some key highlights: 📊 Increasing customer momentum around programmable networks delivering differentiated performance, further supported by a joint venture with 12 telecom operators. 📊 Securing the global supply of network APIs, a joint venture agreement between Ericsson and prominent mobile network operators. 📊 Executing an additional 5G patent licensing agreement in the third quarter, with anticipated IPR revenues to surpass SEK 13 billion by 2024. We're anticipating stable year-on-year sales in Networks for Q4, driven by North American growth and expecting sales pressure in the Enterprise sector as we focus on profitable segments.
