We're glad to share some new highlights from a recent landmark event at our D-15 innovation center in Silicon Valley. 📣 This gathering united industry analysts and partners to delve into how mobile innovations are shaping the global ecosystem. A key focus was on programmable networks and their ability to adapt to both current and future demands. 🎤 We had insightful conversations with industry leaders, including Anand Parikh, CEO of AirHop, who shared his thoughts on enabling the rApps ecosystem. He outlined the need for an open ecosystem, the shift from lab trials to commercial deployments, and the concept of "Sustainable Open AI RAN."♻️ 💬 "For 5G networks to have good ROI that operators would be happy about, you have to have an open ecosystem for rApps," emphasized Parikh. This openness fosters the innovations necessary for 5G networks to reach their full potential. Ericsson and Batelco expand Batelco's mobile broadband network across Bahrain for enhanced 4G and 5G capabilities, strengthening network coverage and capacity for consumers and enterprises. Batelco deployed Ericsson's latest radio access network (RAN) and Core network infrastructure and modernized its Ericsson Mediation platform to cloud-native technology, actively boosting operational efficiency and scalability to meet rising data demand. With the expansion, Batelco is advancing its network performance and boosting its operational efficiency, paving the way for future-ready networks and applications like 5G Standalone and IoT use cases to meet the evolving needs of the Kingdom.
