FrontWay delivers a simulation software designed for the process industry. It’s called PaperFront. We have developed PaperFront in close collaboration with the Pulp- and paper industry to cater to its needs. Today we have users representing machine vendors, pulp- and papermills and general process industry. Our main benefits are high flexibility and changeability that allows our users to redesign processes with an ease. The business of today is constantly changing and we have tools to meet this. FrontWay’s vision is that: Within 25 years from start of FrontWay, simulation should be a part of every companies financial reporting and agenda. The reporting should clearly state that “this year we have used simulation to be Pro-Active in the leadership.“ To realize this, FrontWay have developed process simulation software and services in combination, so that business advantage can be created for our customers. This is not only a technical issue, it’s also a management and work method task. FrontWay can help you with: › Issues from incoming raw material to outgoing rolls and pallets. › Material- and energy-balancing, dimensioning data for new- or rebuild › Quality simulations/predictions. › Lab measurements of quality based on NIR-technology. › Production planning and buffer simulations. › Energy saving and/or environmental studies. › We automate your simulation work with our scenario handler and by XML traffic to transfer data between engineering systems and our simulations. › Education in simulation We deliver based on your demand, either as a software package or as a consultant service. Kadant Acquires Swedish Simulation Software Company FrontWay Frontway will become part of Kadant's Fiber Processing group. Feb. 7, 2024 - Kadant Inc. announced that its acquisition of FrontWay AB was completed on December 19, 2023. FrontWay provides fiber processing industries with simulation software and consulting services for process optimization. Founded in 2004 with a focus on pulp and paper industries, the company is headquartered in Norrköping, Sweden and will become part of Kadant's Industrial Processing reporting segment. "As part of Kadant's Fiber Processing group, FrontWay is supported by over 150 years of fiber processing expertise," said Michael Colwell, vice president of Kadant. "Expanding our fiber processing technology capabilities with FrontWay's process simulation, training, and consulting services provides our customers with access to a broader array of services and solutions." Adjusting and changing data can sometimes be tedious. Fortunately, there is a smart feature that can help with that, at least if you use PaperFront®. PaperFront® has a built-in feature called the Scenario Handler that allows you to change settings and parameters in the model with a few clicks. This is a much appreciated feature by our customers.
