🌏 GreenIron in Australia: Driving the Future of Fossil-Free Metal Production 🇦🇺 Australia is a global mining powerhouse—the world’s largest producer of iron ore, and a key supplier of gold, rare earths, and critical minerals. Australia is also making major investments in hydrogen, green steel, and battery metals. Since 2024, GreenIron has a subsidiary in Australia, reinforcing our commitment to a global circular and fossil-free metal production. With MoUs in place with so far key players as Rio Tinto and Tellus, we are aiming to be part of the decarbonisation of Australia’s mining and steel industries. Our Chief Commercial Officer, Tanja Ilic, will be speaking at two key industry events the coming weeks in Australia sharing insights on how GreenIron’s technology is supporting the green metals transition: 📌 Australian Green Iron & Steel Forum (March 26-27, Perth) https://lnkd.in/dSV4SnFt 📌 South Australian Hydrogen Conference (March 27, Adelaide) https://lnkd.in/d4q_pvZS We look forward to exploring more opportunities in Australia and contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions! #GreenIron #Decarbonisation #Hydrogen #Australia

🌍 Project HANS: From Residual Product to Resource for Sustainable Foundry Innovation ♻️ The three-year HANS project for Svenska Gjuteriföreningen, sponsored by Vinnova and project managed by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden aims to help Swedish foundries reduce their environmental footprint by increasing the use of residual products. While the industry already recycles scrap and machining chips, materials like slag, foundry sand, contaminated chips, filter dust, and mill scale are often discarded. Greeniron H2 AB, together with 14 other companies, has partnered in the project, which will conclude at the end of February with the results presentation. We have focused on recycling challenging residual products using our fossil-free hydrogen reduction and done trials with materials from Sandvik Svedala, Scania Group, and Österby Gjuteri AB with positive results. The project came to visit our site in Sandviken before Christmas. The GreenIron reduction method stands out due to its high energy efficiency and closed-loop hydrogen recycling system, where nearly all the hydrogen introduced is reused. We look forward to the final report and to building on the project results through future collaborations to support the foundry industry’s sustainability goals and reduce environmental impact through smart utilisation of residual products. A big thank you to all participants and partners for their inspiring contributions and we look forward to future collaborations! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dFamzSWn 💡HANS stands for in Swedish "Hållbar gjutning genom Alternativt Nyttiggörande av Spånor och restprodukter". #ProjectHANS #GreenIron #FoundryIndustry #MoreCircularityLessMining
