HexiconPower Advances Offshore Wind Dialogue at IENE's National Energy Conference in Athens HexiconPower was proud to join this year’s IENE National Energy Conference "Energy & Development," held on November 6-7 at the OTE Academy in Athens. This flagship event, in its 28th edition, brings together a diverse array of leaders and experts, including senior executives from major energy firms, government officials, academics, and stakeholders from Greece and abroad. With over 45 prominent speakers, the conference addresses the most pressing issues on the global and regional energy agenda, providing an essential platform for discussing the energy future in Greece. Representing HexiconPower, CEO Mikelis Chatzigakis contributed to the discussion on the development of offshore wind in Greece, specifically floating wind technology, which has been gaining increased interest. Chatzigakis highlighted the importance of establishing a supportive regulatory framework, enhancing technical solutions, building a resilient supply chain, and fostering early engagement with local communities to ensure successful project development. This builds on last year’s participation, where Business Developer Henrik Baltscheffsky introduced Greece’s growing interest in offshore wind. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in IENE’s premier event and contribute to the future of Greece’s energy sector. #HexiconPower #IENE2024 #EnergyConference #RenewableEnergy #FloatingWind #OffshoreWind #SustainableEnergy #GreeceEnergySector #EnergyTransition #RenewablesGreece

Hexicon supplies the global energy market with floating platforms for offshore wind energy production. Hexicon platforms addresses deep sea environment, which is a growing segment of the wind energy market. By combining proven technologies from the wind energy, offshore oil &gas and ship-building industries, Hexicon has developed a floating platform that in unprecedented ways meets the environmental, technological and cost-related challenges. The Hexicon platform is based on a Swedish innovation, where the platform turn around a central turret, aligning the platform with the wind at all times. This makes it possible to place several wind turbines on the same platform, generating scale of economy. With the Hexicon platform, floating offshore wind energy production becomes both profitable and competitive.

We are proud to share the exciting news about Hexicon’s participation at the Invest Korea Summit 2024! Today, Hexicon was invited to the prestigious signing ceremony at the Invest Korea Summit, Korea's largest foreign investment attraction event, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organised by KOTRA. The ceremony brought together a select group of seven international companies with ambitious investment plans for South Korea. Being invited alongside major energy players like Equinor and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), who are also pioneering the development of floating offshore wind in South Korea, is a testament to our commitment and strategic focus on advancing offshore wind. As Minister Ahn Duk-geun emphasised, foreign investment is crucial to South Korea’s ambition to become a global business hub, and the government is actively working to strengthen advanced industries and innovation. These investments are not only pivotal for the growth of offshore wind but are essential to South Korea's broader economic and sustainable development. We are honoured to play our part in shaping a cleaner energy future in Asia and eagerly anticipate the opportunities this groundbreaking initiative will unlock. #InvestKoreaSummit #OffshoreWind #Hexicon #SouthKorea #SustainableEnergy #GlobalInvestment

HexiconPower continues engagement in Greece’s offshore wind dialogue at 6th Renewable & Storage Forum Following Hexicon Group’s participation in last year’s conference in Athens, we were pleased to return this year to the 6th Renewable & Storage Forum - one of the country’s leading conferences on renewable energy. This time, HexiconPower’s CEO, Mikelis Chatzigakis, outlined how key challenges for floating offshore wind in Greece can be met—by advancing the regulatory framework, enhancing technical solutions, strengthening the supply chain, and building trust with local communities early on. Reflecting on last year’s event, where our Business Developer Henrik Baltscheffsky highlighted opportunities in Greece’s emerging offshore wind sector, it’s clear that interest in floating wind technology is growing among Greek energy leaders. While regulatory challenges remain, momentum for renewable energy solutions is steadily building. Hexicon does not currently have active projects in Greece, but we’re honoured to support these discussions and explore possibilities through HexiconPower, our joint venture with EAMAA Single Member S.A.—the Environmental and Maritime Agency for Alternative Applications, dedicated to sustainable marine and environmental innovation in Greece. #HexiconPower #RenewableStorageForum #EAMAA #FloatingWind #OffshoreWind #RenewableEnergy #Greece #CleanTech #Renewables #WindPower

Hexicon warmly welcomes the government’s decision to allow Sweden’s first floating wind farm to move forward. Congratulations to Poseidon and the teams behind this significant milestone! At Hexicon, we are awaiting a decision on our joint floating wind project Mareld (Freja Offshore, Mainstream Renewable Power) located off the coast of Orust on Sweden’s west coast. We remain hopeful and excited to see if Mareld will receive the green light soon. However, this positive news is clouded by the announcement that the government today rejected 13 offshore wind project applications in the Baltic Sea, including two from Hexicon’s portfolio: Cirrus and Dyning. This outcome is a heavy blow, not just for us, but for the entire wind energy sector in Sweden. Many developers have invested years and significant resources into preparing these applications. While we respect and understand the government's decision, given the competing interests with national defense, we believe these resolutions could have been made earlier to provide greater clarity. Now, we look forward to the upcoming review on November 30, which will explore whether Sweden should implement a system where the state designates suitable areas for offshore wind development. This situation also raises pressing questions about the future of Sweden's energy supply. Current studies, like those from Energiföretagen, suggest a need for 310 TWh in 2045—more than double today’s 150 TWh. Where will this energy come from? #RenewableEnergy #FloatingWind #OffshoreWind #EnergyTransition #WindPower #Sustainability #CleanEnergy #Sweden #Hexicon #GreenFuture #GovernmentPolicy #EnergySupply #ClimateAction https://lnkd.in/dmt-VwTT

Hexicon Breakfast Talks: Team Development and Collaboration Yesterday, we had an insightful breakfast session with Ellen Ahlerup, an expert in team collaboration and process improvement. Ellen shared her insights on how to better navigate team dynamics and boost collaboration. At Hexicon, we’re committed to growth—both for our people and as a company. That’s why we from time to time invite experts like Ellen to inspire us and help us enhance our ways of working. Some key takeaways from yesterday’s session included handy models and mindsets like: - "Slowing Down to Speed Up": Taking a moment to evaluate current processes and tools and explore new ones that can boost efficiency. - Psychological Safety: It's essential for team members to feel safe sharing their thoughts and feelings at the workplace, as it helps prevent project delays and misunderstandings. - The Openness and Trust Spiral: One way to achieve psychological safety in workplaces is to practice openness, as it builds trust and drives progress. A safe work environment encourages team members to raise issues early. - The Walnut Model: A model that helps ensure a team has a shared goal (the shell), clear roles and processes (the divider), and effective individual contributions (the kernels) to achieve productive and aligned collaboration. If you’re curious about these approaches or would like more insights, Ellen Ahlerup is a great resource. And if you’d like to be part of our growing team, reach out to us! #Hexicon #TeamDevelopment #Collaboration #WorkplaceCulture #Teamwork #Innovation #WindEnergy #FloatingWind
