⭐ Meet Fredrik Vestling ⭐ Service Technician, Sweden “The best feeling is when I've solved a customer's problem - my job is done so they can go and do theirs.” Fredrik’s journey at Hiab began quite unexpectedly! It all started back in 2019, when he was visiting an old colleague who had recently started working at Hiab. Over a coffee chat, they started discussing work at Hiab. Soon they started talking about potential opportunities for Fredrik at Hiab, and not long after that they were colleagues again! Previous to working at Hiab, Fredrik has long experience of working as a truck mechanic. This has provided him with both vehicle expertise and understanding of the industry, which he brings to the workshop in Södertälje everyday. In such a fast moving industry, he emphasises the importance of keeping up with the latest changes: “Hiab's products are constantly being upgraded and developed, as are the demands and wishes of our customers. We must keep up with that development.” 💯 👏 Did you know? Fredrik can’t get enough of servicing vehicles! In his spare time, he enjoys repairing mopeds in his own workshop. He finds it relaxing to work hands-on even after a long day of working with Hiab equipment. #WeAreHiab #EmployeesFirst

This groundbreaking machine has driven an incredible surge in sales, from just 14 units in 1986 to an astonishing 100,000 units by 2024 🤯 The booming demand also fueled a significant increase in turnover during the early 2000s, with nearly 40 machines being produced each week. ⭐ Meet Tom Moyer ⭐ Lead Generation Specialist, US “What value do I feel I add? It used to be my good looks and hair, but that went out the window quite a while ago. Currently, the value I think I bring is to help promote the reality of urgency and the excitement of new business that follows and lastly the knowledge of the industry and market.” Tom’s journey at Hiab started back in 1995. Ever since then, he has been working within the US sales, leasing and rental team. With 29 years under his belt, he is an integral team member who has a passion for seeing his colleagues thrive: “What brings me the most joy at work is to help set up another person to be successful in their current role.” Tom’s current role is Lead Generation Specialist - a role he actually designed himself! His days largely revolve around cold calling prospective customers: “It’s a lot of crying and begging fleet managers to choose our products and services. The results will for sure be new business rolling in...”. 💯 👏 Did you know? Tom is a civilian hero! When he was in his late twenties, he chased down and ultimately caught a shoplifter. Our training includes detailed educational content divided into short lessons, starting from basic simulator use to complex crane manoeuvres. A virtual trainer guides operators with instructions and feedback, ensuring a structured and effective learning process. HiSkill enables new operators to achieve their full training potential, allowing them to perform tasks independently and safely. Our main goal is to ensure safety, which helps prevent personal injury, equipment damage, and accidental damage to our customers' property. Feedback from end-users has been very positive. Operators appreciate the simulator's realistic feel and effectiveness in training. During the pilot, HiSkill helped increase the pass rate of the driving test."
