Behind the scenes #IndX The IndX Competence Team Meetups provide a collaborative space where partners dive into IndX key focus areas: autonomy, connectivity, and sustainability. Through these internal sessions, diverse team members are invited to contribute across various focus areas, enhancing cross-functional insights. The competence team meetups are a tight forum, with about 10-30 employees from each corporation joining. It’s is a great opportunity for partners to interact about current startup collaborations and discuss future interest in startups. Hosted by Saab, the event featured presentations focused on smart manufacturing. “The biggest value to be a part of this is that you see other companies’ needs and things you haven’t seen before. Connections, presentations and automations! 🛫 IndX Smart Manufacturing Day took us to Flygvapenmuseum – the Swedish Air Force Museum in Linköping. Hosted by Saab, the day featured presentations by startups on smart manufacturing, one of the focus areas of IndX. A big thank you to invited startups: Cognivix Living Optics cboost Gimic Boards on Fire ekko GmbH The day was well-attended by our partners Husqvarna Group, Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing Sweden, Saab and Väderstad AB, and guests Hitachi Energy, BizMaker and Arctic Business, participating in presentations and speed dating sessions, providing a chance to connect directly with companies and explore their solutions. One of the attendees was Pedram Ram, Business Developer IT & Digitalization at Toyota Material Handling Europe, this being his first time attending an IndX day and meeting the IndX startups. "We don’t have the time to go and search for new solutions ourselves all the time, but these types of forums give us a great opportunity to be a part of it and find ways to improve ourselves,” he explains. It was also exciting to see IndX continuing to expand globally, with a Brazilian startup delegation from CISB presenting at the end of the day as well. On September 10, the regional Startup World Cup competition took place in Mjärdevi, Linköping, where ten promising startups from across Sweden pitched their ideas live to a national jury. The winner of the regional event earns a spot in the Global Grand Finale in San Francisco this October, where they will compete against over 70 other regional winners from around the globe for a USD 1 million investment prize. Stilfold took the top spot, with Jonas Nyvang presenting their innovative curve, folding technology inspired by origami principles, reducing weight and waste in the manufacturing and transportation industry. Runner-up was Digiclean Solutions AB. “We’re excited to see both Dyno Robotics and STILFOLD, former IndX selected companies, participate in the competition.
