Powered by lignin: Fibenol and Lignin Industries help the plastic industry decrease its fossil dependency by taking the lignin sector to the next level in various ways: 🌲 Fibenol, with its state-of-the-art fractionation processes, produces a new generation of lignin, LIGNOVA, that can be used as a bio-based alternative in applications such as biocomposites for plastics production. 🌳 Lignin Industries, a Swedish greentech company, applies lignin to produce RENOL®, a renewable and functional thermoplastic that replaces fossil plastics, significantly reducing CO2 emissions. RENOL® can be used in various plastic applications such as PE, PP and ABS. 💚 Looking ahead, Fibenol’s development of their industrial-size plant together with Lignin Industries’ continuation of our commercialization journey, will pave the way for the plastic industry to move towards more innovative and sustainable solutions. It's time to celebrate the #BioplasticsWeek ! 📸 Louise Bahrton - thank you for capturing the beauty of Renol! #lignin #reducingfossilplastics #fibenol #ligninindustries

Very happy to have welcomed Members of Swedish Parliament Katarina Luhr(MP) and Stefan Olsson(M) together with local politician Thor Övrelid(M) to our Knivsta site this morning. Engaged discussions about opportunities now and ahead with lignin as the new generation renewables in plastics. It's clear that there is an understanding of the necessity to replace fossil raw materials in the plastic industry and a willingness to get started. Recycling is one way to go but will be far from enough to decrease carbon emissions and reach net zero by 2050. The use of biobased materials has a key role to play and lignin with its huge potential is one of the main players. Let's make this happen!🤝 #greentech #innovation #biobased #lignin #ligninindustries
