A community for senior developers sharing the agony of leading tough tech decisions. Expect infrequent lunch discussions and support AW in Stockholm. Started by Cecilia Borg, Erik Byström and Magnus Ramstedt who all met in the backend platform team at King. - Cecilia Borg has a passion for gaming, DevOps and consults as interim CTO and VP engineering with a background in backend and infrastructure development. Cecilia has led agile transformations and clear tech strategies in product organizations for scale-ups and corporations such as Oracle, King, Spotify, KRY, Looklet and G-Loot. As part of the Java Platform Development team at Oracle she picked up the organizational savvyness needed to remove blockers from the tech team. - Magnus Ramstedt has a PhD in particle physics and throughout his career programmed the CERN Atlas detector, modeled nuclear waste and handled the millions of incoming events per minute at the King gaming backend as server architect. Magnus is always close to a laugh and applies a pragmatic approach to creating solutions in existing systems, whether it is to create configuration systems for Candy Crush campaigns or the low-level intrinsics of telco voice quality algorithms. - Erik Byström has been a well known name on the demo scene for 25 years, finding passion in creating 4kB intros. This low-level programming has also come in useful when designing and maintaining the backend platform at King games with half a billion monthly active users. Even though Erik doesn’t call himself a fullstack developer, he can freely move around between everything from data analytics, C/Java, cloud handling and even do Javascript when needed. His broad experience and northern Swedish calm came in handy during his ten years of on-call for the King games’ platform.
