Peter - why is tech crucial to create a promising future?   Tech is crucial because it enables human potential. Not replacing it, but helping us do stuff more efficiently, sustainably and creatively. It can sometimes act as a bit of a democratizer - it has shrinked the world quite a lot, there’s so much information and knowledge available out there that used to be way more difficult to access. Used in the right manner, there’s an inclusive element in tech that I really like. Tech is also fundamental for our ability to react quickly to sudden changes, disasters or other unplanned impact.   One passion has always been about creative problem-solving. Combining what I already know with experimenting, trial & error, prototyping etc to create something that enables myself - or my customer - to accomplish something that used to be impossible. That's a truly great feeling.  The other one is about team building. For me as a leader, my team is a little bit like my additional family. I care deeply about it. It's not always smooth sailing, but seeing others grow and help each other grow is an incredible experience.  I contribute by managing with empathy. Tech is cool, but in the end we're all human. I will never try and push anything that doesn't make sense in the long run, neither for my colleagues or our clients.  ▪️ Peter Utas is Consultant Unit Manager at Nexer Enterprise Applications in Sweden.
