  • Dear friends of nWise, We would like to express our warmest holiday wishes to you, your team, and your close ones – and also tell you a bit about what we have been working on and accomplishing this eventful year. Our mission remains focused on enhancing access to communication and emergency services for the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing communities. In collaboration with our partners, we've made significant strides with Total Communication and Real-Time Text (RTT), making MMX the most widely used communication platform for Relay Services in the world! MMX has seen tremendous growth this year, while our systems have consistently exceeded regulatory and customer requirements. From June 2025, Real-Time Text will be available natively in mobile networks across all European Union member states, and we're connecting with tech providers and Emergency Services across Europe, the United States and Canada to discuss how to implement RTT in a functional way. We are pleased to actively participate in committees and advisory boards that enhance accessibility and quality of life for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing communities. This involvement enables us to help shape important communication standards for Emergency Services through RTT and Total Conversation. We're excited to co-chair a working group with NENA, drafting a new document on 911 communication methods, upcoming innovations, and the role of AI in improving lives in our communities. Our collaboration with EENA has also resulted in a new document on the interaction between Telecom Relay Services and 112 in Europe—a previously unexplored area. Additionally, through ITS Sweden we have been involved in establishing interoperability standards in accordance with legislative requirements for accessible Emergency Services throughout the EU. We truly appreciate your continued partnership, and together, let’s foster a more inclusive and connected future. For all. Let’s continue to innovate together for a more inclusive community!     I am proud to have authored a document published by EENA that describes the role Relay Services in providing accessibility to Emergency Services for individuals who are Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing, enabling them to reach 112 in times of need. At nWise, we have been at the forefront in Europe, facilitating the connection of calls from these communities to Emergency Services. Our efforts have led to the introduction of Real-Time Text (RTT) in Relay Services across more than 10 European countries. We are now actively working towards enabling direct RTT calls to 112, a significant step that will further enhance accessibility to Emergency Services.     🌍 Empowering Through Connection: Our Experience at FSDB’s Autumn Meeting! Last month, we joined the Swedish DeafBlind Organization (FSDB) at their annual autumn meeting in Örebro, Sweden, where we showcased myMMX db and connected with nearly 100 participants. Hearing firsthand feedback gave us valuable insights into how we can further enhance our product to meet the community’s unique needs.     I recently had the privilege to showcase our video and textphone myMMX db at the conference of the Swedish DeafBlind Organization, #FSDB. During the event, we received numerous inquiries about customizing the app to meet the unique needs of various consumers. It was truly rewarding to demonstrate how adaptable it can be. Our videophone with #RTT functionality empowers the #DeafBlind community to engage in telephone calls through Video and/or Text Relay Services.
