A critical consequence of sleep is its effect on mood and cognitive abilities the following day. Moreover, the relationship between sleep and stress is bi-directional. During periods of increased stress, the quality and duration of sleep suffer greatly. Conversely, poor sleep increases stress, as evidenced by increased cortisol levels. Our mental health solution, based on the probiotic strain HEAL9, is shown to significantly improve sleep quality, as well as help stressed individuals better cope with stressful events.
