We are excited to reach another milestone in our collaboration with Rainforest Alliance on our initiative, 'Embedding Worker-led Approaches to Human Rights Due Diligence into Agricultural Sustainability Systems,' generously funded by ISEAL Innovations Fund and SECO Economic Cooperation and Development   Coming up: Digital training will soon launch for farm workers and managers in Mexico, with rollout in India expected in early 2025. This training is based on comprehensive consultations where stakeholders highlighted the need for: – Strengthening government social protection – Improved knowledge of women’s health, workplace discrimination, and grievance mechanisms – Increased education on labor rights, including the right to retain personal identification documents and freedom of movement   Stay tuned, as we can’t wait to share more about our joint effort to uphold human rights and create a more ethical, sustainable future in agriculture. Through our Supplier Capability Building programme in India, AIM-Progress members are aiming to establish a common understanding of Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD) in responsible sourcing across key supply chains, while reinforcing the concept of convergence.   We are so excited to host our first introductory webinar for suppliers in India this week, organised together with our project partners Centre for Responsible Business and Quizrr Main speakers Nandini Sharma and Neha Tomar will be joined by the esteemed Garima Dadhich, Associate Professor with Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and author of the book “Demystifying ESG”. Attendees can expect to learn about the fundamentals of #BHR, the #UNGPs and the National Guidelines on Responsible Business Conduct in #India.   Enabling access to capacity-building which takes “into consideration the resources, knowledge and constraints of the business partner“ is a core expectation of #HREDD-specific legislation (we see you, Article 10/3 of the EU #CSDDD).
