ICA Gruppen, Alfa Laval and Re:meat on how we together can accelerate the time to mass market for sustainable cultivated meat. Understanding the production technology, tasting the products and verified health aspects seem to be king for consumer adoption 🙌
Inom arbetet med ICA Växa utforskar vi lösningar inom matproduktionen som kan minska klimatavtrycket från maten. En av dessa är odlat kött som har upp till 92 procent lägre klimatavtryck än konventionellt kött. Vi tror att odlat kött kommer bli ett viktigt komplement i proteinhyllan i framtiden - om vi kan få med oss hela värdekedjan - och kunderna! Igår deltog jag i ett panelsamtal på Ystad Summit med Jacob Schaldemose Peterson på Re:meat, Sveriges första odlat kött-bolag, Johan Agrell på Alfa Laval som utforskar produktionsmöjligheterna samt Jonas Öste Klevhag som ledde samtalet. Vi pratade bl.a. om konsumenternas inställning till odlat kött, hur produktionen kan skalas samt vilka fler i värdekedjan som behöver inkluderas för att få det att hända (lantbrukare, food service, kommuner & regioner, ICA-butiker, konsumenter, m.fl.). Som ni kan se är många intresserade av att köpa odlat kött redan idag även om det är några år bort (givet att det motsvarar nuvarande produkter i kvalitet, smak, pris och ursprung). Det som skulle få ännu fler att testa är att 1) förstå tillverkningen ännu bättre, 2) om de fick smaka samt 3) naturligtvis ett kvitto på att det är livsmedelssäkert. Fortsättning följer!
