What a week! Our Cedrik, Lisa and Andreas attended The Business Booster - EIT InnoEnergy's annual conference where InnoEnergy portfolio companies get the chance to form connections and collaborations with the world's forefront investors, industry leaders and renewable energy companies. To name a few: EDF, ENGIE, TotalEnergies, Boryszew S.A. Breakthrough Energy , Cepsa, SHIFT Invest, Finindus, Eneco, Nesta, Vopak, Clean Energy Ventures, ACCIONA Energía, Edison and Naturgy. Together, these companies will be responsible for bringing TWhs (= a lot!) of renewable energy generation and storage to the grid, and it has been an honor for Rivus Batteries to discuss piloting, investments, the long-duration energy storage market and legislation/political mechanisms with them. It is more important than ever to work together to make sure Europe has a healthy and secure manufacturing industry for the clean energy transition. But enough of that - we are itching to share that we won the prestigious TBB pitching competition!! 🍾 Andreas delivered one of his best pitches to date, and we couldn't believe our ears when we made it to the finals, let alone to take the first place! Heartfelt thanks to EIT InnoEnergy for the opportunity and recognition - it means a lot to us. We also want to express our gratitude to be featured alongside groundbreaking startups such as hysun, PIONIERKRAFT, EcoBean and Nordic SeaFarm. We enjoyed being part of the E-prize panel this morning – Sweden’s biggest energy innovation award organized by Dagens industri, Aktuell Hållbarhet and E.ON Sverige! We are honoured to be one of the three finalists in the renewable energy category together with Meva Energy and Raymond Solar, all worthy winners accelerating the energy transition! Hanna Falck is joining us as a trainee for the next 8 months and will be doing her master’s thesis with us! 🌟 Hanna is currently pursuing her master's degree at Matix - Management av Tillväxt at the University of Gothenburg and holds a bachelor’s in entrepreneurship and business administration. With a passion for entrepreneurship, sustainable solutions, and a curious mindset—plus a background as an track and field athlete—we’re convinced Hanna will be a great addition to our team. Exciting News - Niclas Davidsson joins Rivus’ Board of Directors! 🔋 We are happy to welcome Niclas as our new board member. As CEO of Meva Energy, Niclas brings 20 years of experience in engineering management and business development of innovative bioenergy technology, with an MSc in Industrial Engineering. With his leadership experience and accomplishments in scaling climate tech companies, Niclas will be a great asset to our board and team. His achievements include securing Swedens largest investment in a bioenergy technology development company and leading Meva Energy from 10 to 41 full time-employees as well as to global recognition. We look forward to advancing our mission together! 🌿

Rivus' organic flow batteries use organic molecules instead of critical metals like lithium and vanadium. Their technology has been demonstrated on a small scale and at the end of the year a pilot will be installed at HSB Living Lab together with Bengt Dahlgren AB, a Sweden-based engineering firm with 700 employees. - It’s exciting to be part of this project and learn about the new technology. We see potential applications for a range of projects, says Andreas Fränne, energy engineer from Bengt Dahlgren AB. - There are growing opportunities within large-scale energy storage, where the price pressure is big but where the scalability that flow batteries, of which Rivus’ metal-free batteries are a variant, offers a great advantage, says Patrik Johansson, Professor in Physics at Chalmers University of Technology. To bring their solution to the market Rivus' needs to raise additional investments. Despite the ongoing global economic headwinds, Rivus' CEO Cedrik Wiberg is optimistic for the future. - We aim to prove to investors that that our batteries have a long lifespan, between 15 and 20 years, and then scale up quickly.

We are happy to welcome Professor Henrik Sundén as a scientific advisor to Rivus’ Advisory Board! Henrik is a Professor at the University of University of Gothenburg’s Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology. His research is focused on developing new methods for creating molecules and chemical bonds in organic chemistry, with applications in drug development, materials science, food chemistry, and petrochemistry. He holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Stockholm University. We look forward to advance our mission together 🌿🔋
