    🏆 SIG Award Shortlist Spotlight: Young Engineer of the Year 🏆 💡 Andrian Buchi, Quadsat As co-founder of Quadsat, Andrian has been instrumental in leading Quadsat from an idea to a realised product. He has been responsible for much of the technology development, leading the team to expand the capabilities and has created, and continues to work on, the product roadmap, closely tied to customer needs, both current and future. Andrian has a natural passion for science, mathematics, robots, and innovation, and he has taken that and used it to continually grow and develop the ground-breaking technology. Andrian is highly committed to improving test and measurement for the entire industry. Andrian is a passionate and dedicated young engineer who has built a successful company off the back of a great idea, and at a young age. 💡 Lukas Nyström, Satcube Joining the satellite terminal provider Satcube in 2017, Lukas has made the seamless transition from systems engineering to leading the development of Satcube’s new line of user terminals as CTO since April 2022. Much of this work is emphasized on antenna and RF subsystem research and development, targeting low-cost solutions to enable global broadband. Lukas holds a M.Sc. in Engineering Physics, and a M.Sc. in Accounting and Financial Management. With this unique background harnessing both engineering and business, Lukas brings exceptional insight that merges both disciplines, acting as a bridge between the two fields. He is a fantastic role model for all young engineers in this industry and a living proof that where there’s a will, there’s a way. 💡 Timothy Maher, Intelsat Since joining Intelsat in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland, Tim has advanced from Sales Engineer to Senior Manager in Customer Sales Engineering. His expertise in Media, Mobility, and Network products has been instrumental in driving organizational success both as a Sales Engineer and Manager. Tim’s leadership, technical excellence, and strategic impact make him a deserving candidate for this award. Tim Maher embodies the qualities of an outstanding young engineer—leadership, technical excellence, and strategic vision. His contributions to engineering innovation, business growth, and mentorship make him highly deserving of the Young Engineer Award.
