scientifyRESEARCH omdelade detta
Well, that was both an amazing and embarrassing start to my day! scientifyRESEARCH hosted a webinar with the incredible Prof Daniel Mertens on AI and Grant Writing. We had nearly 2000 registrants. Yesterday, I upgraded my little Zoom workplace pro account to accommodate for this with a “large meeting upgrade”. I’ve done this successfully in the past, no problem. Yet, today there was a problem… If you’ve read this far, please read further and allow me to spare you from future zoom-related embarrassment! ➡️ It is no longer good enough to simply purchase a zoom upgrade and expect it to work. Now, you must also manually link the upgrade to your account -even if the upgrade was purchased via your account! You can test every other zoom setting the day before, but not the meeting capacity. Unfortunately, Daniel and I didn’t phone 1000 friends and ask them to log in during our test session. 🤣 Thanks to incredibly quick problem-solving skills, Judy Mielke, figured it out and fixed the issue -allowing everyone who registered to enter the meeting. And the irony in all of this? It wasn’t Zoom support services that helped us (we searched, we called), even our good friend Perplexity didn’t deliver a quick solution when we begged for help. It was an intelligent human who looked into the technology and fixed it. Problem solved. We got the session started a bit late, but I think everyone who attended would agree - a presentation from Daniel Mertens is worth the wait! 💫 If you registered for this event, the slides and meeting recording are headed your way via email tomorrow. Thanks for joining, or for not joining us! We're humans, and we can always do better next time. Now, I'm off to reply to 600 emails and think about our own UX... Happy Friday junior, my friends.
