We had the chance to sit down and talk with Emil Nilsson, Software Engineer at Sharpfin, about the thrill of being part of a small, knowledgeable team and the joy of navigating complexity to create exceptional products. 🔹Emil, what is your role at Sharpfin? "I work as a software engineer and started at Sharpfin in January 2021, so I have been here for almost 4 years now." 🔹What is your favourite thing about working at Sharpfin? “The development team is still quite small compared to bigger firms, which allows you to take responsibility for many different processes and to follow the production line from start to finish, which I really like. There are always new things to learn," says Emil. 🔹What is the most fun part of the job? “First of all I really like the Sharpfin team because even though it's small, it's very knowledgeable and everyone has something to learn from one another. Second of all I think it's fun to work with a niche functional language like Erlang, and I also enjoy working with finance.
