I'm super happy to share that Jacob Beydler is stepping into the role of Head of Customer Success in ANZ, and that Joel Czarnota takes on the role of Commercial Director for the region. We now have a team of 13 dedicated members down under 🌏 (and hiring!*), working with 10+ live institutions. Looking back, it's remarkable what we have achieved in just a couple of years - and it's safe to say we wouldn't be here without either one of these guys. More importantly, both Joel and Jacob bring an exceptional depth of understanding of product and customers to the table. I'm confident their knowledge and hands-on approach will bring true value to the community for years to come. Because there's lots and lots to do. And now our teenager is growing up 🦘 * New job alert: https://lnkd.in/d73Urfzs

☄️ Last week, we held the TimeEdit annual Hackathon competition. This year’s problem: managing change requests. One of, if not the, biggest bottleneck across the academic operations process. 🥇 A massive thank you to our user panel - Carlos Murakami, Lara Taffer, Fred Jonker, and Morten Vøyvik who dissected each solution and chose the grand winner. And btw I loved Lara's comment: “If we combine the impact scoring from Team 8, conflict visualization from Team 3, and the request flow from Team 1, we have a complete game changer.” 😁 "Plus it looked like you had a lot of fun". What it is all about. 🧗 Can't wait for these ideas to come to life

📊 The State of Scheduling Report is now live This report builds on +200 survey respondents and more than 50 interviews with practitioners across the academic community. Two major takeaways: 1) It’s clear that improving the student experience is becoming more crucial than ever 2) Data collection and gaining measurable insights are the most inefficient processes in the scheduling cycle. How to fix it? Better upstream data validation. 🔗 Download the full report here: https://lnkd.in/dAUbT7yF Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s report—your insights are invaluable

Finished an incredible 2-day project discovery session with the Canberra Institute of Technology. The collaboration of over 20 dedicated individuals, both online and in-person, underscores the magnitude of this project within their 5-year plan. This project is especially meaningful to me – CIT is where I first embarked on my tertiary education journey at 17. Now, at TimeEdit working alongside Sean Seneviratne (Implementation Manager) and Andrea Binning (Project Manager), I’m thrilled we could contribute to their continued success and transformation. Together, we’re shaping the future of Academic Operations and building lasting relationships. Excited for what’s to come! #CustomerSuccess #StrategicPartnership #EducationalTransformation #TimeEdit

SPANZ '24 was held last week in the heart of Melbourne at the Monash College City Campus. Scheduling experts from all over our region came together to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the scheduling craft. Presentations were on all sorts of topics, but each with student experience at the centre. A particularly exciting example was the presentation of a study done by the team at Monash (with responses from over 13k students!). One result of their questionnaire was that 90% of their students say that the timetable is a major driver for their student satisfaction. Teeghan Henderson did a great job presenting these interesting results and sparking conversation around the topic, particularly in the realm of where these insights have shown that schedulers can have meaningful strategic inputs into their institutions through the medium of the timetable, when suitably empowered (with which we wholeheartedly agree!). On the TimeEdit front, Jordan Woolley presented ANZ-specific findings from the State of Scheduling Survey '24, together with highlights from our Product development. Keep your eyes peeled for exciting things from TimeEdit during the rest of 2024, on topics such as the next generation of the Autopilot scheduling engine. Next up will be HOSA on August 27th to 30th in Melbourne. We hope to see many of our Aussie and Kiwi friends there!

TimeEdit - The Academic Operations Platform for student centric institutions

This week we had our annual TimeEdit Summer Party, this year at the beautiful beach of Zandvoort. It made me realize once again why I enjoy working at TimeEdit so much. Yes, we have a great product and yes, we've had plenty of successes to celebrate, but what I enjoy most are the incredible people I work with. At TimeEdit, we focus on more than just closing deals and pursuing promotions. Our core values emphasize collaboration, innovation, and work-life balance. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported, where creativity can flourish, and where we all can grow both personally and professionally. Working here means being part of a team that truly cares about each other and the impact we make together 💪 Here's to more amazing moments and working with a team that feels like family! And by the way, we're still looking for new colleagues to join us on this incredible journey.
