It has been two inspiring days at Sweden Sustaintech Venture Day 2024, where visionary founders, investors, and innovators came together to focus on creating a more sustainable future. 🌱 It’s Not AI That’s the Problem Beyond immediate concerns, our near-term focus should be on using AI to foster sustainability. When applied correctly, AI becomes a powerful tool to achieve ambitious climate goals, such as tripling renewable energy capacity and doubling energy efficiency by the end of this decade – goals highlighted in last year’s United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28 UAE). AI plays a pivotal role in climate and energy transitions in countless ways. It supports the development of new materials for clean energy technologies and helps optimize the performance of solar and wind farms. AI can also bolster energy storage, improve carbon capture processes, enhance climate and weather predictions for better energy planning, and drive breakthroughs in green energy sources like nuclear fusion. We are thrilled to announce that T.Loop and Atrium Ljungberg have signed an agreement for the operation management and development of the Palmfelt Data Center, right in the heart of Stockholm’s evolving Slakthusområdet district. 🏙️ This partnership allows T.Loop to bring our expertise in data center operations to a region undergoing a vibrant transformation – from its century-old role in food production to a new era of meeting places, culture, workplaces, and homes. We're proud to be entrusted with this opportunity and are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and top-notch reliability through our Tier 3 compliant center. The feedback from our customers has been very positive so far, and we are motivated to continue providing high-security solutions for IT needs. As part of our circular Data Energy Center® concept, the data center’s excess heat will be repurposed for heating the building it’s located in. T.Loop och Atrium Ljungberg ingår avtal för drifthantering av Palmfelt Datacenter Som en del i Atrium Ljungberg satsning i området har T.Loop fått förtroendet att som partner hantera drifthanteringen och utvecklingen av datacentret i Palmfelt Center. Parterna slöt avtalet den 25 augusti och transitionsprocessen har inletts. ”Vi ser en stor potential i datacentret som betraktas som ett Tier3 kompatibelt datacenter med hög driftsäkerhet. Dessutom är den fysiska säkerheten hög vilket möjliggör placering av IT-kunder med höga skyddskrav”, säger Johan Hedman, Head of Operations på T.Loop. ”Vi har ett mycket gott samarbete med Atrium Ljungbergs personal och vi ser fram emot att få vara del av områdets pågående utveckling.” Målsättningen för T.Loop är att, genom sin kontroll över datacentret, erbjuda den bästa kundservicen. Den initiala responsen från kunderna har varit mycket positiv. "Potentialen är stor för datacenterdrift i området och vi ser positivt på de framsteg vi gör tillsammans med T.Loop avseende effektiv förvaltning av Palmfelt Center”, säger Åke Reichard, Fastighetschef för fastighetsområde Slakthusområdet. ”Vi ser ett behov av datakraft i området och välkomnar dessutom att T.Loop genom sitt koncept kan bidra till att fastigheten både får en mer kostnadseffektiv energiklassificering och minskat klimatavtryck.”
