Last week at TECHARENA ZERO in Stockholm, Chloe Fu, Ventures Investment Associate at Trill Impact Advisory, participated in a panel on the topic of Investing in Green Opportunities alongside Johanna Lundgren Gestlöf from SPP, Johan Trocmé from Nordea, and Karin Wessman from EKN Exportkreditnämnden, moderated by Linda Nyberg.   "The Nordics are one of the leading impact investing ecosystems globally, mainly owing to a deep cultural focus on sustainability, large public and private commitments to sustainable investments, and a startup scene that has bred more unicorns per capita than Silicon Valley. The content and attendance at Techarena ZERO were a testament to that leadership, bringing together stakeholders from Sweden's largest public institutions, banks, startups, and investors.   The panel discussed the intersection of climate investments from four diverse perspectives - pension funds, banks, exports, and venture capital - and explored each of their respective roles in accelerating the scale of critical technologies to meet emission reduction and net zero targets by 2030 and 2050", says Chloe Fu.

Last week, Trill Impact attended the GIIN Impact Forum in Amsterdam. The event gathered professionals from all over the world to connect, interact, network, and share knowledge on innovative strategies and industry developments within #impactinvesting.   Hetal Damani, Impact Partner at Trill Impact Advisory, says: “The GIIN Impact Forum brings together the impact investment community and facilitates important discussions. The members talk on how to bridge the #SDGs' financing gap was particularly interesting. Should the investment community scale up as much capital as possible towards impact investments? Should the focus be on helping make already deployed capital more effective or channeling new capital to where it is most needed? I came here to have more conversations like this. Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for Trill Impact's fourth Annual Investor Meeting. It was a pleasure to host the event at Operaterrassen, in the heart of Stockholm.   The day began with opening remarks from our Founder & Managing Partner, Jan Ståhlberg, followed by Johanna Levander, Partner & Head of Investor Relations, and Korbinian Knoblach, Partner & Co-Head of Private Equity, who set the tone for a day of insightful discussions. Trill Impact's team, alongside representatives from portfolio companies, then provided updates on business progress, financial performance, and future objectives.   Everyone's participation and engagement made this a memorable and impactful event. Last week, Nina Rawal, Co-Head of Trill Impact Ventures & Partner at Trill Impact Advisory, moderated the inaugural conference for the Stockholm-Uppsala Life Science Cluster. The conference addressed the importance of innovation clusters for translating science into innovation and improving patient outcomes. Key stakeholders such as government, academia, and industry were all represented, and they highlighted that the cluster has many of the important ingredients needed to become world-leading.   “In my view, the Uppsala cluster has many important ingredients, such as Europe’s third strongest talent pool. Becoming a world-leading cluster requires long-term dedication from politicians, academia, and industry. The conference showcased their encouraging commitment to this goal”, says Nina Rawal.”

Last week, Trill Impact's advisory office in Munich had the privilege of hosting an Impact & ESG DACH roundtable, bringing together leading impact & ESG investing professionals from >10 investment funds.    The session explored how Impact and ESG incentive structures play a crucial role in ensuring that sustainability goals are effectively incorporated into investment strategies.   Thank you to all who contributed to this conversation.
