Malta has been incredible so far. Not only I got the chance to meet with Transport Malta to understand their priorities and challenges but I got to see the Prime Minister Mr Robert Abela up close. More importantly, I had a brief conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister + former Minister of Transport Mr Ian Borg to understand their challenges and priorities related to Urban Mobility. I also pitched UrbanVind to him and got a strong recommendation to reach out to Malta Public Transport. Great organisation from Startup Festival Malta and thanks again to Diana Miceli, Alessandro Silvestri "...creating and making it happen..." and Camille Bon. Here's the Prime minister of Malta interacting with Alessandro, Diana, Camille and later with another one of the EIT Urban Mobility startups, Bruntor.

At the Startup Festival in Malta showcasing UrbanVind. Malta is a country with 380 buses with public transport free for residents with bus network playing a key role. Transport Malta has the vision to make Public Transport sustainable and reliable for users. I had the chance to discuss our solution CrowdFlow with them and how we can help fulfill their needs and visions. Very grateful to Camille Bon and Alessandro for making this happen. A huge thanks to Accelerate2Move program for arranging this and special thanks to our mentor VEFRESH Viesturs Celmins. The event is still not over yet and now waiting for the Maltese Prime Minister to arrive! 🇲🇹

Last week, Ivo De Geus and Pawan Seshadri Venkatesh represented UrbanVind at the CIVINET Slovenia-Croatia-South East Europe Forum in Split, where the focus on public transportation and its digitalization in the Western Balkans took center stage. It was inspiring to see how strongly the region values public transport as the backbone of sustainable urban mobility. They also didn’t miss the chance to explore Split, a city rich in history and vibrant public spaces—reminding us how vital well-designed transport systems are to urban life. By connecting with like-minded individuals and industry leaders at events like these, we see more clearly how smarter transportation and better data can truly transform daily life. What kind of data-driven solutions or improvements you would like to see in your city's transit system? We would love to hear your opinions!
