We are excited to announce the launch of our global Iron Women program, a vocational initiative empowering women with specialized training to operate construction machinery. This program builds on a successful concept originally introduced by Volvo Trucks in 2016, which has so far enabled over 700 women across 10 countries to enter the truck driving profession. Now, in partnership with Skill Shift Initiative and ETS Group - Volvo CЕ in Ukraine we are taking the Iron Women program into the construction equipment industry. By reskilling and upskilling #WomenInConstruction, we aim to meet the growing demand for skilled operators while breaking down gender stereotypes and making construction more inclusive. “When you have passion for what you do, that is contagious. It builds trust and makes it easier to adapt to changes, to keep learning, and to keep trying. With this attitude, challenging times always lead to improvement.”     Ramrama Nano, Business Controller at Volvo Construction Equipment in Eskilstuna, took the time to understand the engineering innovation behind the financials she knows so well, resulting in a much deeper dedication to her role.     Just because you have a skill set in one area does not mean you do not benefit from understanding the wider business. We encourage everyone to get a deeper understanding of the different functions – whether it’s R&D and engineering, People & Culture, or Finance and Communication. Expanding your knowledge always leads to greater things. #VolvoCE #workplace #dreamjob #jobopportunity #careerdevelopment

Last week, Tora Leifland, our Head of Public Affairs, called for collaborative action when speaking at the Financial Times Mining Summit in London. “Electrification is key to reaching our CO₂ reduction targets, but it's just one piece of the puzzle. To truly meet our sustainability goals, collaboration across the entire value chain is crucial to secure responsible sourcing and achieve decarbonization." As a company that both uses raw materials and supplies machinery and solutions to the industry, we are committed to using our unique position to drive change from both ends. Thank you to the Financial Times for the opportunity to connect with other leaders Iván Arriagada Herrera, Kenta Saito, Nicholas Snowdon and moderator Harry Dempsey to discuss these critical issues. "The time for siloed thinking is over. We invite everyone – partners, suppliers, and industry peers – to join us in accelerating this transformation. Together, we can achieve far more than we ever could do alone." #FTMining #Emobility #Transformation #Changestartshere

Earlier this month, our dedicated team at the Pederneiras site in Brazil came together to celebrate Dia da Árvore (Arbor Day) by distributing over 400 seedlings and also donating an additional 110 seedlings to a local school. Since 2017, our employees have actively participated in reforestation efforts, planting and distributing over 19,000 seedlings in the Pederneiras region and the Batalha River area, through our nursery.

Family Day at Volvo CE in Braås! Our colleagues in Braås came together to show their loved ones a glimpse of life at Volvo CE, the team spirit and the incredible machines that make us so passionate about what we do. Michaela Rosberg Karlström, site communicator and one of the event organizers shared: “I believe and hope that some of the people we welcomed are future test engineers, welders, software developers, communicators, or rallycross pros. More than anything, I hope they left knowing that whatever your passion is, there are jobs that are exciting, where you get to create the coolest things, and where every team member is equally valued.” It’s days like these that remind us of why we love what we do — and that's the spirit that makes these events unforgettable! #VolvoCE #TeamSpirit #Engineering #FamilyDay #Innovation

Celebrating 40 years of passion and innovation in Belley!   We’re excited to celebrate 40 years of innovation, teamwork, and growth at our Belley site. Last week we marked the occasion with a machine show, a buffet, and a memorable moment when Volvo CE President Melker Jernberg lit the candles on a giant birthday cake—using a compact electric excavator, of course! Originally founded under the Pel-Job brand, our Belley site became part of Volvo CE in 1995. Today, 400 talented colleagues contribute across manufacturing, sales & marketing, purchasing, and R&D. Here’s to the next chapter and the continued success of our dedicated team at Belley.

To help her team navigate an organizational change, Carolina Flood, Head of Attachment Solutions at Volvo Construction Equipment, prioritized well-being, team building, and communication.     “There will always be change, and we must make the best of it when it happens. If people feel good and are involved in their work, results and performance will come”, she says.      By confidently embracing change, Carolina found that engagement and motivation increased, turning what could have been a period of anxiety into fun. At Volvo CE, we know that when people can communicate freely and enjoy themselves, we can better meet the challenges.    #workplace #dreamjob #jobopportunity #careerdevelopment

Safety is in our DNA. That’s why Volvo Construction Equipment China, in collaboration with Volvo Cars China, recently hosted a special event dedicated to the children of our employees—an exciting day full of learning and hands-on activities, all centered around the theme of safety. From VR walking platforms to noise exposure simulations and safety harness falls, the kids experienced safety in a fun, interactive way. The event ended with a reflective sharing session and the awarding of the “Volvo Future Star” safety badges, leaving the children with a stronger appreciation for safety—and a sense of pride in being part of the Volvo family.

Celebrating 50 years of equipment manufacturing in Shippensburg!     This milestone brought together employees for a memorable day of stories, games, and great company, reflecting on five decades of history and innovation.  Our Shippensburg journey began in 1974 with Ingersoll-Rand, and since Volvo Group's acquisition in 2007, we've continuously invested in our site and people: from a $30M, 200,000 sq.-ft expansion in 2010 to growing our workforce to 650+ employees.    “We’ve invested in our facilities, people, and services here in Shippensburg,” said Gustavo Casagrandi, Head of Operations. “It’s rewarding to see the impact on our customers, industry, and local community.”  In collaboration with Franklin County Career & Technology Center, Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and SkillsUSA, Volvo CE supports industrial worker training and the next generation of engineers and skilled professionals.      As Gustavo puts it: “It’s an honor to continue Volvo’s commitment to training, safety, and sustainability. I can’t wait to see what the next 50 years bring for our people and industry.”     #VolvoGroup #Shippensburg50 #Sustainability #Innovation #Engineering #Manufacturing
