⚡ Our next highlighted member is someone we truly admire! Gabriela M. has made significant contributions to the tech community, including helping run the PyLadies Stockholm booth at this year's WIT Conference. More recently, she caught our attention again when she hosted a Robotics and AI coding camp in collaboration with our friends at Pink Programming. 👩💻 Gabriela's passion for teaching, connecting people and giving back to the community really shines throughout this interview 💜 When asked why she chose tech, she replied: "The women in my family have always supported and encouraged me to follow my passion for mathematics and hardware development. Growing up, seeing their dedication to their work was key to helping me start—and most importantly—stick with this field." Once more establishing the importance of role models in this field 💪 - Read the whole article and get to know a fellow WIT member: https://lnkd.in/dwEgrTq6

💡 “We are being thrown between these overly positive stories about AI and then cripplingly disturbing stories about AI”. How do we navigate this? To continue our WIT Play archive highlights, we are addressing the need for new stories about AI. In this talk, Paulina Modlitba brings forth the stories which are rarely told. The stories about how AI can make our everyday lives better, and us better as humans. If we want to 🤖💜 As one of Sweden’s leading thought leaders in technology and innovation, with studies on robot-human interaction and machine learning, Paulina is no stranger to the WIT stage, previously being our conference program editor. ⚡ There’s no one better to address this topic - watch her talk on why we need a new narrative about AI: https://lnkd.in/dExBpfb4

Yeah, we posted about Tove Ågren earlier today, and here's more stuff since we are serious fans of her work and overall person. 🤩 This morning Tove was featured in SVT's morning show. Take a look at the interview where she shares a bit of her story and including mars helicopters, being a high-achieving individual and getting a balance between working hard and playing hard. It's in Swedish, but who knows, maybe there's an AI for that? 😃 PS. Can we please also acknowledge that people can excel in many different fields simultaneously? We're complex beings, and can keep developing forever and ever. https://lnkd.in/d4cQa7Mt
