Jointer's Week 2025 - we care to prepare The expertise and knowledge of a good jointer is indispensable. Even the best quality cables, project management and agreements won't do much without our staff of experts who get the job done. Which is why NKT places a very high value on training our jointers regularly and keeping them updated on new product developments and installation methods and procedures. As the best preparation for a successful year, our colleagues gather in different NKT location this week and next week to get set for future projects. But why do we consider this necessary? Take a look at what jointing is all about. A cable jointer’s main task is to install joints and terminations on cables which allows them to be connected to other elements of our electrical grids - either as part of a new installation or during a repair. Since each project comes with its unique requirements, the job constantly changes. We want our jointers to be prepared the best way possible for precisely your project. Cable jointers work outside throughout the year, sometimes in rough weather conditions, in great heights or cramped spaces underground. Since they work with electricity, in our case with high voltage levels, they need to be conscious for their own safety but also the quality of their work to make sure the installed system is in good condition, thus reducing risks of future faults.
