Together with the fair, Stockholm Design Week turns Stockholm into the place to be for buyers, architects, designers, journalists, and everyone interested in design, during one week in February. The week gathers design events in a variety of venues across Stockholm, from showrooms, galleries and museums to dinner parties, after-fair meetings, and opening cocktails—and invites everyone to join. Participating in Stockholm Design Week means being part of one of the most inspirational and influential design events in Scandinavia. In February 2025, Faye Toogood will be the 20th Guest of Honour at Stockholm Furniture Fair, dedicating her space to the hands of craft.   With her personal archive of maquettes taking centre stage in the installation MANUFRACTURE, Faye Toogood opens the doors of her studio, laying bare her creative process, to encourage conversation and demystify the process of designing and making. Kustaa Saksi is the Guest Creative for the 2025 edition, marking the first time the fair is inviting a creative visionary to craft the fair’s artwork. The internationally celebrated Finnish textile artist and designer has created the visuals for the 2025 event, drawing inspiration from the designer’s creative journey and the fair’s overarching theme, Connecting the Dots.   Saksi has established himself as a leading figure in the intersection of art and design, earning widespread recognition for his innovative work which merges jacquard weaving techniques with materials such as wool, rubber and metal. Over the years, Saksi has collaborated with renowned Scandinavian furniture brands like Nikari and Swedese. He has also worked with global fashion brands including Hermès, Nike, Issey Miyake, and Marimekko, and his work has been exhibited at Victoria & Albert Museum. Stockholm Furniture Fair’s collaboration with Kustaa Saksi is part of the fair’s continued ambition to broaden its scope to new disciplines and redefine the idea of what a trade fair can be. With a strong background in both design and leadership, Daniel Heckscher will lead the vision and strategic direction of both events, further strengthening their positions as leading platforms for design. Daniel Heckscher joins the team with extensive experience in the design industry, having previously held key positions at Note Design Studio as designer, interior architect, and partner. “I am thrilled to take on this new role and continue the legacy of Hanna Nova Beatrice, the former Director, whose vision revitalized Stockholm Furniture Fair and Stockholm Design Week.
