It is a busy and exciting September for UNICEF Innovation! In New York, I will join global education executives, policymakers, philanthropists and investors to discuss the latest #ArtificialIntelligence developments in global education digital transformation at the 23rd HolonIQ 'Back to School' Summit on 10—11 September. Between 11—13 September, Hanna Burkhardt will be in Singapore at GITEX HealthTech 5.0 discussing innovation and investments in emerging markets, alongside our Venture Fund invested startup founders Hyma Goparaju, PhD from Avyantra Health Technologies, and Mansi Shah from StaTwig. On 12 September, our ventures team lead, Sunita Grote, will virtually join a panel discussing the wealth of technology innovation entrepreneur talent in emerging global markets at the 2024 Social Value Connect (SOVAC) in South Korea. Meanwhile in Stockholm, Patty Alleman and I will align with Regeringskansliet, Utrikesdepartementet who is hosting the Nordic Council of International Development Ministers in an interactive conversation on the frontiers of tech enabled gender equality at the Ericsson Imagine Studio, alongside Sofia Lindelöw of Norrsken Foundation, Zaki Haider, Jacqueline Rogers and Zohra Yermeche of Ericsson. During the second half of the month, we will have an active presence at the United Nations Summit of the Future and General Assembly and New York Climate Week, including: 🔵 A UNICEF Venture Fund and Diversity Economics Institute (DEI) co-hosted conversation with impact investors on demystifying the investment potential of tech innovation in emerging markets. 🔵 Discussing the critical need for digital transformation and innovation to address the global learning crisis focused on shaping safe, inclusive, and evidence-driven digital education, in an event co-hosted by Finland, Ukraine, and Zambia, along with UNICEF. 🔵 Co-hosting the ‘NatGala’ at Goals House together with Nature2, S2G Ventures and CurvePoint Capital, where Clarabeth Concaret, Kyle E. Cordova and Noemi Florea will be representing our #Innovation30 initiative of global young climate entrepreneurs. 🔵 Discussing Digital Public Infrastructure and Goods (DPI/G) in an event organized by Digital Public Goods Alliance and UNDP, focusing on storytelling from the perspective of countries’ digital transformation, including Rumee Singh, co-founder of Rumsan- a UNICEF Venture Fund investee.
