Leaders, Is the Fear of Failure preventing you or someone you know from growing at a faster pace? All of us (super humans exempted) must have, at one time or the other felt a fear of failure. For some, it is still a very present emotion. This Fear of failure, when left unchecked, can hold us back from reaching our full potential or from even knowing what our full potential is! It can prevent us from getting started, from taking risks, from stepping outside of our comfort zones, or from showing up authentically, which is often necessary for personal growth and success. Understanding Fear of Failure: A Fear of failure is often rooted in a deep-seated belief that we are not good enough, experienced enough or that we will be rejected or ridiculed. This fear can manifest in a variety of ways, including: 📌Procrastination: Putting off tasks or projects due to fear of failure. 📌Avoidance: Avoiding situations or challenges that might lead to failure. 📌Perfectionism: Setting unrealistic standards for ourselves and becoming paralyzed by the fear of making mistakes. 📌Negative self-talk: Criticizing ourselves and doubting our abilities. 📌Apathy: A numbness or detachment from the project or opportunity. Overcoming Fear of Failure: Here are some strategies that can help you or your teams overcome this limiting fear of failure as: 🎯Challenge negative thoughts: When you find yourself thinking negatively about your abilities, challenge those thoughts. Ask yourself if they are based on reality or if they are simply products of your fear. 🎯Set realistic goals: Set goals that are challenging but achievable. This will help you build confidence and avoid the fear of failure. 🎯Break down tasks: If a task seems overwhelming, break it down into smaller, more manageable steps. This can help you feel less overwhelmed and more confident in your ability to succeed. 🎯Visualise success: Imagine yourself successfully completing your goals. This can help you build confidence and reduce your fear of failure. 🎯Seek support: Talk to someone in your support network especially a coach about your fears. They can offer support and encouragement. 🎯Embrace learning: Remember that failure is a natural part of the learning process. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. You either succeed or you learn! Lastly, ask yourself, what is the worst thing that can happen if I embrace learning and put in my best to be my authentic self? By following these strategies, you can look the fear of failure in the eye and press on to greater levels of growth and success. We will be cheering you on! Don't let fear hold you back! *If this may be of use to someone you know, please react, comment and repost to support others to grow. #acresplus #acresplusprofessionalservices #fearoffailure Yi Chun(Candy) Lai Helena Kaiser Dhruv Ahlawat Ali Araafi Akbar Ananya Rao Ayoyinka Owairu Shaila Alam Hasliza Liza Elitza Igwezinakachi Nmehielle Tola Adeyemi Solomon Abiakalam CAMS, CISA

📌 REST Steve had always been the go-to person in the office. Whenever there was a crisis, an urgent deadline, or a task that no one had the capacity for, his name was mentioned. The justification for it was that he is high performer, high potential talent and it will be great projection for him. Steve bought the narrative and thrived in the chaos, feeling accomplished as his to-do list got checked off, one impossible task after another but his direct manager was concerned. Lately, something was different. The energy he used to have was fading, and small mistakes started creeping into his work and then bigger ones. He noticed his hands trembling as he typed, and his once-sharp focus began to blur. Still, Steve pushed on, telling himself that 'he's got this' yet another time but his attention span was waning and he was becoming irritable. One evening, after staying late for the fourth night in a row, his manager, Shelly, walked by his desk. She paused, watching him struggle to keep his eyes open, the weight of exhaustion heavy on his shoulders. “Steve,” she said gently, “when was the last time you took a break?” Steve blinked up at her, unsure of the answer. It had been weeks, maybe months, since he had really rested. Running on 4-5 hours of sleep had become his thing. “You can’t keep running on empty,” she continued. “The work will always be here. But you? You need to recharge.” Steve realized then that pushing himself past the limit wasn’t a badge of honor—it was a slow unraveling. He finally embraced the idea of rest, not as a sign of weakness, but as a necessary part of being his best self. Now: 🎯From the attached image, Identify the various types of rest and the signals that tell you that Steve needed to rest? 🎯What signals are you spotting for yourself and members of your team / family? What type of rest do you / they need? As a leader, how will you enable this? #leader #rest #wellbeing #acresplus #acresplusprofessionalservices #coaching #leadership #kindnesstoself #kindnesstoothers

Days come and days go You tell yourself you’ll change so You let time go on and procrastinate You do the thing you’ve learnt to hate The time is nigh; time to change It may be tough; it may feel strange But the thing we are remembered for Must be very impactful, before We leave this earth That we’ve been on since birth, So your friends and family, as they grieve Remember the legacy you leave. 🕰️ Fragments of Time: A Book of Poems, is a collection of educating, motivating, inspiring, and entertaining poems written by Aseoluwa Ajeigbe, a 12 year old student of Tanglin Trust School, Singapore 🕰️ Aseoluwa is already carving a niche for himself in the literary world, having embarked on his poetic journey at the tender age of seven. 🕰️ The poems are arranged in chronological order so that readers can compare and contrast them and experience the author’s literary development. 🕰️ 10% of all sales proceeds go to children’s charities. 🎯 Get the full book on Amazon Fragments of Time - A book of Poems by Aseoluwa Ajeigbe 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 https://lnkd.in/gNdsRMAa Copyright @ 2024 Aseoluwa Ajeigbe All requests for information should be directed to Acres Plus Professional Services All requests for coaching support should be directed to Acres Plus Professional Services or Cynthia Kikelomo Ajeigbe #legacy #fragmentsoftime #acresplus #acresplusprofessionalservices #legacyweleave #forceforgood #hereforyou Shaila Alam Gobinda Goswami Jena David Adepoju Adina Paparoiu Korede Demola-Adeniyi Maria Oshunrinade Milkah Wachiuri Kui Njoroge Anne Bacolod Dr. Peter Akindeju Shaonli Roy Kapur Oladotun Ayoola (ACA) Wan Asma' Wan Omar (ctrs) Terence Eng Nikhil D. I am tired of being tired! 'I am tired’ in this client’s context means that they have had enough of their current situation. 💠What situation are you tired of being tired of, and yet you have not taken the required actions to address it? For some, it may be a job, a relationship, a bad habit, an existing mindset, pressure from others or just about anything that does not contribute to their well being. If you are feeling stuck in a situation, here are some tips to move you forward and onward ➡️ 🎯 Recognise and accept your feelings. Don’t minimise how you feel so as not to stay stuck. It’s important to understand that your feelings are a response to prolonged dissatisfaction. 🎯Reflect on the circumstances of the situation. Some questions to ask yourself are: Why am I tired of this situation? How did I get here? What have I learnt about myself from this situation? What have I learnt while in this situation? What is getting in the way of me leaving this situation? 🎯Reflect on the consequences of continuing in this situation. How will it impact your overall well-being or the longer term goals that you have set for yourself? ie What will happen if you do nothing about this current situation? 🎯Reflect on the future you will like for yourself and your desired goals. Why is this future meaningful for you? What emotions rise up in you as you think of this future? 🎯Reflect on what being free from this situation will look like. What new opportunities will open up for you and how will this impact your desired goals? 🎯Ask yourself, what needs to change? 🎯What is the one small step you can take towards making that change? 🎯Create an action plan and decide on how you will hold yourself accountable for achieving it 🎯Who amongst your network can you approach / rely on to be your support system? 🎯 Be kind to yourself and others ❤️ Reach out if you need Coaching or additional support. 🙏🏽 If this may be of use to you or someone you know, please react and share.
